Gray held Shadne steady and helped him to a bed. "Which means we can't trust the staff. Oh...great."

Laying on the bed Shadne said, "The old man knew that this was gonna happen. He was warning us." Shadne whipped the sweat from his brow.

“Well, there is some staff we are for certain not behind this, such as all of the staff incapable of magic. So, none of my teachers are trustworthy at the moment.” They said, frowning and scrunching their face.

"So he knew it was going to happen and he did nothing to stop it?" Gray said, biting his lip and frowning.

"Maybe he couldn't. He was old and maybe he was threatened. He might have a family." He was not evil, i would of felt it.

"That's a lot of "what ifs"," Gray said. "Are you sure he isn't in on this?"

That old man couldn’t be evil, I can sense that kind of stuff.. They thought, furrowing their eyebrows in thought.

"For sure. He echoed pride, strength, leader." Sitting up quickly. "He's an alpha. We have royalty at the school. That was why he was warning us. He's testing us. Maybe he knew it was gonna happen last minute and decided to help us." Shadne rambled on.

Gray turned into a bat once more and perched on the bedframe. "So let's say he can see the future and he's not evil. What happens next?"

“Point in the direction of suspicious people and question them, see if they make any suspicious moves.” They said, thinking.

"I don't know." Shadne layed back, that had just taken a lot of energy. Weird, i get exhausted easier.

"But that would make us look suspicious," Gray protested.

"I don't know." Touching the wound area on his neck, Shadne noticed that the vampire bite was gone.
