He gave a single unamused laugh and turned away from her.
After however long, detention was over. -
Crystal took the books off her desk and tried to get out of the room as fast as she could.

When Crystal was rounding the corner of the school building, a boy slid up in front of her. He was about Crystal's age and very handsome.
"Ashton Rivers," he said, introducing himself. "Do you want to come over to my house and we can hang out?"
(Have her say no) -
"No, now go away." she said.

"It wasn't a request," Ashton said. He grabbed her wrist and started dragging her to his car, despite her resistance.
A voice spoke, clear and cold as ice. "Let her go. You have ten seconds."
It was Ethan. He was giving Ashton a death glare that would send anyone trembling to their knees.
Ashton immediately let go of Crystal. He glared at Ethan (not nearly as lethal, though) before walking to his car. and driving away.
"You're welcome," Ethan said, turning his gaze to Crystal. -
"I never said thank you, but thanks I guess." she said, a little startled at what Ethan did for her.

"I just saved you from the biggest playboy in the school," Ethan said. "You should be grateful."

"Pretty sure the biggest playboy would be you." she said.

(Badboy doesn't necessarily mean playboy.)
"I don't do girlfriends," Ethan said. -
(I know, but does Crystal know?)
"And I don't do boyfriends." -
"Well then there should be no problem between us, Princess," he said.

"Good, then why don't you leave me alone?" she asked.

"Nothing's stopping you from leaving," he pointed out.
