Ethan just looked at her with an amused glint in his eye.

"And why would you want to continue the rumors? They're horrible!" Crystal exclaimed.

"Come, now, don't you know I have a reputation to keep up?" Ethan said.
"So - so," Amber stuttered, "th-the murder..."
"Was not me," Ethan finished. -
"It wasn't Ethan." Crystal said.

"And what proof do you have of that?" Tyler asked.
Ethan raised an eyebrow. "An interrogation? How fun."
"Just answer the question."
Ethan looked between the four before saying, "I was with my family." -
Crystal snapped her fingers. “See, he didn’t do it.” She said.

Skylar gave Ethan a suspicious look, then looked back down at her food.
Tyler was glaring at Ethan while eating his food.
Amber sat there wringing her hands
And Ethan was simply calmly eating his food. -
Crystal went back to eating her food as well.

Ethan stood up. "Told you this wasn't a good idea," he whispered to her, his lips barely brushing her ear. He then walked off to throw his things away.

"Oh c'mon guys, you didn't have to be like that!" Crystal exclaimed, looking at the others.

"Just putting our walls up," Amber said.
"Don't want him breaking in," Skylar finished her sentence -
(So I’m putting my defenses up, cause I don’t wanna fall in love.)
“Why, is he gonna rob you if he breaks in?” -
"He might," Amber muttered.
