"You know how to talk exceptionally well," Kerala said. "Which means you probably have some fundamental knowledge."
-
"You created me," Seamus shrugged.
-
-
"That feels kind of weird," Kerala said. "Does that mean I'm your...? God, I hope not."
-
"My mother? Godness, no," Seamus said.
-
"Thank goodness," Kerala sighed. "I don't want to be your parental figure."
-
"Neither do I," he said. He chuckled. "I wonder what I would have been like as a child."
-
Kerala laughed. "Charming and completely fluent in English, I'm sure."
-
"Most likely," Seamus said. "But it is thanks to you that I have those qualities."
-
"It's a awful shame that I never gave you superhuman abilities, isn't it?" Kerala said with a sigh. "If you could have any power at all, what would it be?"
-
Seamus shrugged and leaned back in his chair. "I rather like the way I am, but if I had to choose, I'd say mindreading."
-
"And why mind-reading?" Kerala said, finding the power to be unpleasant. She would rather be ignorant to the thoughts that invaded and filled one's mind.
-
He shrugged again. "People wear masks," he said. "I wonder what it's like underneath."
