“I think you are a puppy. Why? Because your cute like one.” He said with a wink.

"I'm not helpless like one, though," she said. She took her feet out of the water. "Do you want to go now? I'm getting hungry and I'm sure you are too."

“Yeah, I’m really hungry. We’re going to that Mexican place right?” He asked.

"Mhmm," Callyn said. She stood up. "I'll give you the address."

“Okay.” He said. “I’ll wait here.” He started splashing people.

Callyn walked back into the locker room and dried off. She loved the feeling of a warm towel after swimming. She put the dress back on and dabbed her hair a bit with the towel so that it would stop making wet splotches on the light purple cloth and so that she wouldn't have to take it out of the braid.
When she was finished she slipped on her sandals and walked out to the pool. "C'mon," she said. -
Turner followed Callyn. “Where are we going?” He asked.

She told him the address. "Aren't you going to get your things? I know you didn't come here without a shirt on."

There was an awkward silence. “Um, so before you say anything, I might have accidentally left it at home.” He said with a nervous laugh.

"Ok, we're stopping at your house on the way," Callyn said. "Mexican restaurants may be casual, but not that casual. I'm not having a toned superstar or whatever shirtless in there. Mamita would probably hit you over the head with her spatula."

“I’ve been hit with worse. I’m just glad it isn’t a pan or shoe, those things hurt.” He said wih a grimace.

"Well I don't want to get hit with a spatula either, so we're stopping at your house before we go there," Callyn reasoned.

“Fine fine.” Turner mumbled. He opened the car door for Callyn. “Ladies first.” He said.

Callyn got in. "You're going to like it there," she said. "Mamita is like a second mother to me."
