"Alright, see you soon," she said and hung up. She dialed in the polices' number. For some reason, she hadn't thought about talking to them first, only Turner. She told them the situation and they said that they'd be there soon.

Turner arrived at her house a few minutes later. He ran inside and went straight to Callyn. "What happened? Are you okay? Where are the robbers? Did they hurt you?" he asked, looking around the house as if the robbers were still there.

"I'm fine, Turner," she said, holding up a hand. She looked around. "They took everything."

"Wait, everything?" he said, his jaw dropping.

"Not everything everything," she said,"but my car is gone, all the big and much of the small furniture, and main appliances, also whatever else they thought was of value that.they could snag."
She wandered around the place aimlessly, seeing what they had left behind and thinking.
Her voice was soft and slightly high pitched as it always was when she was stressed and figuring out what to do.
"There's a card table and some folding chairs in the basement..." she said quietly as she ran her hand through her auburn hair. "I can use that for a kitchen table...I'll have to do fast food with no stove and nowhere to store it...I can use my sleeping bag for a bed...I'll have to go to the laundromat... But they took the dresser I only have what's in the closet... I have to ask for more hours at work..." she was thinking everything through out loud. -
Turner shook his head. "Nuh-uh you're living with me until we get your stuff back." he said.

She looked at him in slight surprise. "A-Are you sure?" she asked. "It'll be a few months, I don't want to be a bother..."

"You wouldn't be a bother! It would be my honor to have you stay with me." he said.

"But what about your dad?" she asked in a worried voice.

"I could hide you somewhere." he said.

"That works," she said with a nod. She gave him a hug. "Thank you so much. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Probably be like a zombie due to lack of sleep." he said.

Callyn heard the police pull up outside her house. She took Turner's hand and led him outside with her.

Turner squeezed her hand. "I'm here for you." he whispered.

Callyn took a breath with her eyes closed then gave a slight smile.
Turner was there for her. She could always count on him, always depend on him.
