"There are more eventful days yet to come," Adrian said, stroking her hair.

“Hopefully they’re not tiring.” Jewel groaned.

"Hopefully not," Adrian agreed.

“What should i do if Lucifer comes into my head while I’m asleep?” She asked, looking up at Adrian.

"Remember that although he's there, whatever he's doing, it's not real," Adrian said.

“It sure did feel real last time.” Jewel grumbled.

"I'm supposed to protect you," Adrian sighed. "But how do I protect you from him going inside your mind? How do I protect you from what he does in there?"

Jewel sighed and gave him a slight smile. “But like you said, it isn’t real. Sure he may cause some mental pain, but I know you’ll help me through it.” She said as she gave Adrian a hug.

"But even if it's not real he's still in there," Adrian said. "He's still there trying to persuade you, threaten you, make you fear him..."

“Adrian. Calm down. I’ll be okay, it’s you that I’m worried about.” She said with a worried frown.

"Me?" Adrian said. "Why are you worried about me?"

“Your freaking out over something and I’m afraid you won’t get any sleep because of it. You don’t have to worry about me, I’ll be okay.” She said as she sat Adrian down.

"I have a very good reason for freaking out," Adrian mumbled to himself.

“Here, if it gets to the point where I can’t handle it, I’ll come to you.” She said.

"Well then you're stronger than me," Adrian said quietly. "I wasn't able to handle it."
