"Come again?" Adrian said, his eyebrows skyrocketing to about the middle of his forehead.

“Can I sleep with you if Lucifer comes back?” She asked, cocking her head.

Jewel realized what she said. “Oh my god! I’m so sorry Adrian! Forget everything I just said!” She exclaimed as she covered her face with her hands to hide her blushing.

Adrian put his forehead in his fingers, his face obviously red. "That was not where I was expecting that conversation to go," he said.

“Can we just please change the subject.” Jewel groaned.

"With pleasure," he said. "On the plane you kind of covered me in a thin layer of ice."

“Oops, sorry.” She shrugged. “I was trying to turn Lucifer into ice. The stupid plan backfired.”

"Yeah, it's much harder than that," Adrian said. "Although it might be different for you since you have magic."

“It doesn’t seem much different.” Jewel grumbled.

"I don't know if it is or not," Adrian said.

“I wonder if Tessa is done getting changed.” Jewel said as she looked for an excuse to get away from the awkwardness.
