Junk plot:
Turns out C1's dad is a serial killer and has killed like a quarter of the small town they live in. C1's dad was taken away, so on, and no one trusts C1, thinking that their dad raised them to be awful too, they don't feel safe with C1 around, and so on. C1 never knew that their father was a killer until the police came, though
And then C2 moves to this small town, and they get to know C1 and become friends. C2 is wondering why everyone tries to stay away from C1, and so on I haven't worked the plot this far yet. It can also be a romance, if wanted. Any takers? -

Michael could feel the glares of everyone as waited in the checkout line at the gas station. He hated this. Everyone expected him to turn out like his father. But he wasn't. He was an entirely different person.

Delilah helped her parents unpack. why move to such a small town. shes proably not going to make friends, shes antisocial and a bit of a looser

He paid for his pop. He saw the cashier double count the money he gave, making sure it was all good. That had never happened before. They didn't even count the money that was handed to you if you knew them.
Michael walked out of the store and down the sidewalk. He could see out of the corner of his eye people whispering, mothers pulling their children closer to their sides, and so on. -
She took a few boxes upstairs and unpacked them. those were the last two she had to unpack she wasnt sure what to do next
