Katherine gasped. She took a few steps from the mirror. She looked behind her again. Nothing but the towel. She looked at the mirror again. "What - what happened to you?" she asked quietly.

James reappeared, but this time, right behind her. He wondered if she needed a closer look. James didn't disappear this time. "I was supposed to be at evening church. We went to church three times a day. I wanted to play outside and a girl asked me if I wanted to go see something cool...I never made it to church that day..." James looked very sad while saying that, on the verge of tears.

(Man a livin that's a lot of church)
Katherine turned around to see the boy. "Oh no!" Katherine said when she heard his story, feeling sorry for the child. "That's awful!" -
(He lived in that point in time where everyone was going to church a million times)
"Yeah..." His fear of the girl seemed to slightly go down, but he is still keeping his guard up. "Why are you here? What would make you want to come to a place you can never leave?" -
Katherine looked at him. "I was just curious about the house," she said. "What do you mean I can't leave?"

"This...isn't just a creepy house. It's a portal. It ties all different dimensions into it. But, getting out isn't so easy. I've tried so many times, but I've never gotten out." James explained.

"How did you get in here in the first place?" Katherine asked.

"Well, a portal appeared in the afterlife. I was warned not to go through it, but I was so curious." James explained.

"So there's no way we could get out?" Katherine asked.

"Not that I know of." James sighed. "I think it has something to do with the attic. Unnatural things happen in there."

"The attic?" Katherine asked looking up. "Should I check it out, or would you not recommend it?"

"There are these...shapes on the attic floor. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them. I tried putting stuff in them, but nothing happened." James explained. "I don't think going into the attic will harm you during the day, but it...changes during the night."

"Well, since it's daytime, let's got up there," Katherine said. "Where are the stairs?"

James gestured for Katherine to come into a bedroom. It appeared to belong to a married couple previously. James turned on the music box, and chuckled. It was his favorite thing in the room. He was stalling because he was scared. James closed his eyes and pulled on a string in the room, where stairs would appear after pulling it.
