Phil's mother, I mean, their mother, I mean Phil's mother...gah.
The mother walked into the house, taking off her jacket and putting it away. "How are you, honey?" she said, patting Phil's face affectionately.
"I'm fine, Mother," he said, smiling. When she walked away, he sighed in relief. -

Phillip peeped his head out of the closet. "We should probably go somewhere else," he said. -
"I agree," Phil said. "Let's get out of here."

Phillip silently got out of the closet and stepped carefully over the floor, being careful to avoid the squeaky parts.

Phil opened the door carefully, holding it for Phillip.

Phillip walked out the door and waited for Phil to walk out before he started going down the driveway

"So what now?" Phil said. "We can't hide this forever, can we?"

"I wouldn't think so," Phillip said. "She has the eyes of a hawk, she'd find out eventually."

Phil nodded in agreement. "Yeah. What were you doing when you got...you know, teleported?"

"I was about to take Ruffian for a walk," Phillip said. "Big guy doesn't get nearly enough exercise."

"Do you think Ruffian has something to do with the portal?" Phil asked.

"Him?" Phillip laughed. "Definitely not."

"You never know!" Phil protested, smiling. "Ruffian is a big boy."
