Are we starting from where we left off? -
((Yeah, we can do that. We weren't too far in, so I think it'll be okay to continue!))
Harper snorted. He was under the impression that Vivian was joking. "Costume? Haha! I do look more stunning than everybody else around here. Though..." He pauses, looking down at his outfit. "This is just my casual outfit. Is it the boots? Are they too fancy?" -
(You found another picture of him!)
Vivian looked at him. "No, the boots are fine," she said, beginning to get confused. "I mean, like – the wings and the tail and the ears and the fur" (I'm assuming he has fur, if not, whoops) -
((He's actually a character I bought from somebody! They made his design and then drew the other pictures for me. The internet is a wonderful place.
Also, I think he may have some feathers sticking out on his face, but otherwise he's just got an unnatural skin tone!))
Harper laughed again, though it sounded a little awkward. "...Ahah... Right.." His tail suddenly swished as he straightened up a bit. "...You can see that? Huh. It's not every day I run into someone who can see past my glamor." He tilted his head, squinting at her. "It's not a costume. And no, you aren't dreaming, either. Surprise!" -
(Oh that's cool!
Yeah, I noticed the feathers, but I wasn't sure if it was fur transitioning into feathers or not)
Vivian just stared, her mouth opened an inch, completely unsure of what to say or do. "It's not – You – Oh wow..." -
((Yeah, I get you, it's slightly unclear. I think it works like this guy's feathers, where it transitions from skin to hair/feathers.))
He swayed back and forth on his feet, a smile slowly picking up across his lips. "Fascinating, isn't it? I don't think there's too many magical beings living in this town." -
(Ok, good to know)
"You mean...there's more of you?" Vivian asked. She could see him, bit she had never seen any other magical beings hanging around.
(He kind of reminds me of Will) -
((Omg, I didn't mean for him to be like Will, but you're totally right))
"Oh, yes. There's a multitude of magical species that live among humans." He paused for a moment, studying her expression. "..You seem oddly okay with this. I had expected more of a panic." -
(I like it. Spice made a character that's like Jem with a dash of Will)
Vivian shook her head a bit. "I just...never imagined..." She couldn't seem to finish the sentence. It looked like her reaction was that she had been struck with an inability to speak. -
((That sounds like such an interesting combo. I'd love to see it!))
There it was. Harper hesitated before reaching over and patting her shoulder. "Most people feel like that. You all write stories and daydream about strange things, but when it's right in front of you, it's... Unbelievable." He nods towards a stand near them. "Let me treat you to those sweets I was talking about. You look like you could faint." -
Vivian tensed up a little when he put his hand on her shoulder. She relaxed a second after. She found herself nodding to his offer, but she didn't know why.
-
Harper quickly dropped his hand, motioning to the stand. "Right this way, then!" He took a few steps forward, careful not to go too fast so Vivian can keep up. "Do you have a favorite dessert?"
-
Vivian shook herself back into her senses. She'd definitely have to somehow get used to this. "Not really, as long as it doesn't have to much frosting."
-
"Oh, I absolutely understand!" Harper shook his finger forward and backward a few times, dancing a little on his feet. "Icing really can be too much." As they got closer to the stand, he fell silent, thinking to himself for a moment. He wondered how Vivian could see him. It was rare for humans to have the ability to see magical creatures if someone in their family didn't have it. "I know this may be a bit.. Intrusive.. But I am curious. Did your parents ever tell you stories about.. Well, magic?"
