(Your character) is a monster hunter, traveling around the world and looking for evidence of creatures like big foot, moth man, the loch nest monster, ect. YC catches wind of a rumor about a dragon living in America near a small mountain town, so you naturaly go looking for it. However while searching the mountans for evidence of the dragon, a white out Blizzard arrived. You thought you died. However, instead of dieing out in the snow you wake up in a small cave with a strange person watching over you while the storm rages outside

Pire hummed softly as he added some wood to his cooking fire. He had found some humans on his way home from hunting and had brought them to his den, putting them in a nest of furs to keep them warm. He remembered one of the people from the town bellow mentioning tea and soup were good for cold humans, so he was makimg some -
Gerin remembered the cold and the snow. His memories were rushing through along with thoughts. where am I? Am I dead? Why is it so warm? these were some of the thoughts rushing in his mind
