A loud sound signalled the end of lunch. Tendril stood up and his expression changed from cold and calculating to warm and friendly instantly. "Come, join me for a walk. I'd like to show you around."
Caroline didn't want to, but she figured that she didn't have much of a choice. She sighed and dropped her tray into its bin. "Fine," she snapped. -

Harper's head was beginning to fill with ideas. But how would he be able to.tell as many people as possible? He had never been good at talking to people he didn't know.
He decided he could start with the new recruits, couldn't he? They should be easier to persuade, right? -

Katana grabbed the book and filled through it until she found what she was looking for. The page she was on was faded, worn from decades of use, though more from a bit recently. -
Tendril walked next to her, enjoying the control he had over her. He would increase it somehow, of course, but how to do it? What was her weakness? Everybody had one. It's like a pressure point. Enough pressure and she would crack open, completely defenseless.
Caroline walked with Tendril reluctantly, rubbing her knuckles as they seeped blood into her fresh white bandages. She noticed some other students stare at her hands. They probably didn't have psychos for mentors.
