“Uh- I think so. Honestly, I don’t even know where my dad stores things. My best bet would definitely be the closet.”
Violet tried turning on the main switch, it still wasn’t working. -
Camryn left Violet's bedroom and walked down the hall to the closet. She opened up the closet and reached up to pull the chain to turn on the light, but that wasn't working either. She sighed and pulled out a new bulb. She began to walk back to Violet's room and noticed something.
The air conditioner dial's screen was a dark purple instead of a normally bright blue. Camryn stared at it for a moment, confused, when two eyes blinked on the screen.
Light purple and obviously computerized, they stared at Camryn unblinkingly. "Uh, Violet?" Camryn called. "Might wanna see this." -
“Hm?” Violet said, making a small sound as she crashed into an object. She made her way through the dark to Camryn, “That’s weird...” She touched the screen’s surface and let out a yelp as she received a small shock, “What is up with it?”
-
"No clue," Camryn replied. "It just blinked out at me and now won't go away." By now the entire house was dark. Camryn poked the screen as well, and withdrew her hand as she too recieved a shock. "What is going on? First our phones, then the lights, now this?"
-
Violet’s eyes widened, “OH. MY. GOSH.” With a girly-shriek, she stumbled back to her room and pulled out a book. Then, from the dulling light from the setting sun, she flipped open the book and pointed dramatically to a sentence. “This book. It’s something that I read in fifth grade, anyways, all the objects in the house turn against the two main characters.”
-
"Oh, weird," Camryn remarked, bending down to squint at the words. "That's, like, weirdly similar, except it's only the electronics."
-
Lol, I was actually thinking of using this plot for a 1x1 or group rop called Screen, but then I got busy and didn't end up making it))
-
Nice!))
“Heh, yeah, I’m kinda sucker for things like this. So we could just say, I’m actually living the dream.” Violet then ran to where she thought the steps may have been, the staircase had a clear view of the kitchen. The toaster light was on, she gingerly stepped into the kitchen and called Camryn over. -
Camryn heeded Violets call and joined her on the staircase. "What?" she whispered, looking where Violet was looking.
-
Oml, I actually cannot get over how good Flareglow looks in your pfp))
“The toaster... it’s literally unplugged, but it’s on anyways. That’s so weird.” She said, getting closer and reaching out to the toaster dial, which wouldn’t budge. -
"What?" Camryn frowned. "That's...really odd. Is it possible that it has batteries inside or something?" Even as she said it, Camryn didn't think that was likely.
-
“No, you have to plug it in if you want it to work.” Violet tapped her chin for a moment before staring into the two slots where you would put bread in. Strangely, there were two slices of bread already in the toaster. “What the-” She was cut off as the toast was launched at her face.
-
"I- Violet!" Camryn called as a warning, but it was too late. Violet was smacked in the face with two very burnt pieces of toast. Camryn smothered a giggle and help her stand up and brush of the bread crumbs. "Are you okay?"
-
“What the heck was that!?” Violet stuttered, pointing at the toaster. “We should just get out of the house before everything starts to attack us.” She huffed, running to the door and opening it a crack. Unfortunately, even their door could be electronically opened and it slammed shut in her foot. “Okay, new plan.” She said, after wincing at the pain.
“We’re climbing out of a window.” -
