Annabel stood there, speechless. She wasn't sure whether to laugh or just stand there looking confused. She went with the latter, arching an eyebrow as she stared at Markus. "..Did you just call me your princess? Don't you think that's a little weird, considering I have no idea who you are?"

Markus stood back up and said "You have no idea who I am yet, but you will. I have been chosen to bring you back the the home you were sent away from for your safety. A dark force is attacking Terina and only you can stop it."

Annabel held up a hand, shaking her head. "Okay, pal. You can drop this strange act. If this is a prank, tell the guys who organized it that they can go trip over a rock or something." She dropped her hand, trying to peer behind Markus to see if there was anyone else around.

Markus shook his head and said "This is not a joke." He then pulled out a small device and pointed it behind him. It opened a portal back to Terina and he said "We must go. Time is short."

As soon as the portal opened, Annabel felt her jaw fall open. She stared at it, unable to move. Her brain couldn't process what she was looking at, and yet, her gut told her that this was all real. She swallowed, mustering out a weak, "What?"

Markus said "Just trust me. We don't have much time." and he walked though the portal, expecting Annabel to follow.

Annabel wasn't sure what to think, or really even do. However, she found herself following him after pulling the door shut behind her. She hesitated in front of the portal for just a moment, but something within herself pushed her to head on through despite her doubt.

Markus stood in the same portal maker room he was at earlier. He saw Annabel enter his portal and he then closed it. The Captain stood there and said "I see you have completed your mission. Well done, Markus." Markus nodded and the Captain walked to Annabel and said "Welcome home, Princess Annabel."

As she stepped out onto the other side, Annabel shuddered violently, glancing over her shoulder. The portal was gone, and she was now in a strange place with two strangers. She slowly turned her attention to the Captain, her face pale from nervousness. "Uh.. What?"

The Captain said "I understand you might be confused. Follow me and all will be answered." and he began walking out of the room with Markus following.

Once again, Annabel had no idea what she should be doing. Well, she did; she knew that she probably shouldn't have kept talking to the strange boy, or gone through the portal, or... Anything. But at this point, she felt like this was just a dream. So, she went ahead and followed the Captain, figuring things couldn't get any weirder than this.

The Captain opened up a set of doors and showed a hallway of an opulent castle. He kept walking with the others to a large window. It opened to a balcony showing off a wonderous green land, full of towns, evergreen forests and dragons and pegasus flying high in the sky.

She glanced at her surroundings, fascinated by what she saw. She couldn't quite identify what was flying in the sky, but she assumed they were large birds. Large birds only furthered her suspicion that she was dreaming, and that none of this was real.
