Caleb smiled back. "Nice to meet you, Kylee. I'm Caleb. I just wish we could have met under better circumstances," he said, with a bit of a laugh at the end. "This is crazy."

Kylee nodded earnestly, looking into his beautiful brown (???) eyes. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and pointed. "Look, the huge leaves on the trees will protect us from the storm." she cursed at herself inwardly. C'mon, talk to him like a normal person, Kylee! -

Angie made it to the covered space, the large leaves held much water and looked as if they would drop a good amount of water onto her head. She scooted away as a large centipede crawled over her foot. A loud scream erupted from the covered space as birds tried to flock away. Angie slammed the bug with a stick and stared at the squished centipede. -
Simon looked at Angie. "What's wrong?" he asked. They really shouldn't be concentrating on bugs right now.

Caleb was staring at Angie with an expression of alarm. His eyes drifted over to the centipede and he sighed. "Let's keep moving then."

Kylee blinked and looked away, a strange feeling of regret washing over her. She let out a soft breath and glanced at Caleb, looking away quickly. "Mmmhmm."

Angie stare at the centipede with a death-glare, her eyes sharp as she made an exaggerated frown. She followed the others, behind them all as she shuddered and lifted her shoulders a bit, sticking out her tongue in disgust.

Simon sighed and looked up. He saw what might be a cave up ahead. "Over there," he said a little bit of excitement in his voice. "Is that a cave?" -
Caleb squinted. Sure enough, there was a cave. "That is a cave!" he exclaimed. "Come on, guys!"
