Kyless groaned, holding her rib and Caleb's shoulder. "I think I'll be okay...eventually." She murmured the last part under her breath. She didn't like anyone seeing her in pain or in trouble, and she was embarrassed that these three had to lift the pole off of her while she was pinned under, helpless.
-
Angie frowned, she hadn’t been credited for helping her out. With an ‘oof’, she tumbled forward off of the large slab she was holding onto. Landing in the water, she screamed. Angie never learned how to swim, because she really never had a reason to.
“HELP!!!” She shrieked, flailing her arms helplessly. -
Simon dove in after Angie. He grabbed her and started swimming. He'd never swum without both hands, but he did his best.
(Swim swam swum?) -
Swam, I think))
-
Caleb held out a long wooden board for Simon to grab onto, trying to keep both him and Kylee from toppling over the edge.
-
Kylee clutched Caleb's shoulder as tightly as she could to prevent him from falling. She took her hand that wasn't holding on to him and grabbed the railing of the boat, wrapping her freezing fingers around it and turning her knuckles white.
-
Angie was able to grasp ahold of a piece of driftwood. She planted for a moment before something brushed past her leg. Quivering with fear, and from the cold, she pulled herself onto the piece of wood and lay down.
-
Simon looked at the ones still on the ship, then at Angie who was laying down on the driftwood. "We have to go," he said, gently shaking the girl while he was treading in water, urgency in his voice. "We have to get back on the ship."
-
Caleb's arms were growing tired, but fear and adrenaline helped him in this battle against nature.
-
Kylee looked at Caleb and saw exhaustion in his eyes. Ignoring the stabbing pain in her back and rib, she let go of his shoulder and held out her hand to Simon and Angie.
"Here," she called over the onslaught of wind. "Gab my hand!" -
Gab lmao))
-
Gab XD))
-
Angie grabbed the girl’s hand and helped pull the boy onto the remains of the ship. Fear struck her as she looked around, “Where’s everyone else?” She demanded, with a shaky voice.
-
Simon looked around. There was absolutely no one except themselves. The ship was half in ruins and was going down. "I don't know," he said, "but we need to get off the ship."
