When Penelope walked inside she could hear her parents fighting. "Not again." She thought to herself as she ran to her room and shut the door behind her.
-
"What?" Erin said. Her mother pulled on a fake smile.
"Nothing. Wash your hands and go eat dinner, sweetie," she said. -
When Avin finished his "project" he went downstairs to see if the insolent ducks he called parents were finished making dinner.
-
Simon wandered into the kitchen. "I'm almost done," his mom said. "Your stomach will have to wait just a few more minutes.'
-
Penelope sat on her bed and plunged in some headphones to her phone and started to listen to her favorite singer, NF.
-
Erin hated it. How her mom always tried to butter her up so she'd like her the most. It wasn't like it was going to work, but she did as she was told.
-
Avin decided to pester his mother to annoy her. "Momma can I go play outside?" Avin said in a whiny voice.
-
"As soon as you get your shoes on and go outside, dinner will be ready, and you won't have a chance to play," their mom said.
-
Penelope decided to slip out of her room through the window. She climbed the tree in front of her room and sat on a branch watching people walk by.
-
Erin ate dinner and then fled to her room. She didn't want to be around her mom for another second.
-
"but I'm boooooooored." Avin whined
-
"Then set the table," their mom said.
-
She sat on the branch for half an hour until she didn’t hear her parents anymore and crawled back in. She carefully took out her braids and lay back on her pillow.
-
Erin clambered out of her window, making sure to have locked her door. She dropped down and began heading for her destination.
-
"but that's boooooooooring." Avin whined.
