Akka, mildly surprised, followed him.

Cross pulled the door open and looked at her, waiting for her to go inside

Akka raised her eyebrows at his chivalry and shifted into a human, her long silvery hair swishing around her evenly tanned shoulders.

Cross waited till she was inside before following, closing the door behinf thsm

Akka crossed her arms. "Okay. So what are we doing in here?"

"My master is upstairs" Cross said simply, heading for the stairs

"That's fine with me," Akka said, turning into a Bengal and following him.

Cross led her upstairs and to one of the rooms, knocking on the door "Master ive returned

Akka looked at Cross with an almost pitying expression before facing the door.

Cross stood straight as the door opened to reveal the leader of his hunter group, who sneered at Cross before looking at Akka "so you did something useful after all.

Akka walked into the room as if she owned the place and lounged on the windowsill like any other cat might.

"Yes sir" Cross said evenly. The hunter smirked. "Good. Now kill it so we can harvest it" he said, causing Cross to nod an summon his blade

Akka yawned, glaring at Cross as he approached her.

Cross had a blank look on his face as he aproached her, lifting his weapon

In the blink of an eye, Akka shoved the door open, turned into a leopard to better absorb the fall, and then turned into a cheetah, dashing off.
