"It's good," Dallas said with narrowed eyes. "But you don't have to eat any."

"I know that, I'm the captain of the guard, I can hunt for myself." Rin snapped.

"Well then either hunt for yourself, or have some of this," Kenna said.

Dallas scowled at the glowing embers. Why did she always have to snap at him? And another equally pressing question, why did he always snap at her?

Rin ran off into the forest as an answer.

"Guess he's going to hunt for himself," Kenna mumbled, taking another bite. The food was REALLY good.

Dallas shrugged. "Oh well. He'd better not get lost," she said, before grinning mischievously. "Actually, let him wander around as much as he likes."

Kenna shrugged. "He's the one that knows where we're going. We need him, if we're going to get back."

Rin ran up to a deer and managed to jump on it's back.

"I suppose you're right," Dallas said, turning a squirrel on a spit. "In that case, he'd better get back fast."

"It almost seems like he doesn't want to go back," Kenna said. "He's so connected to this place."

"He's probably been here before," Dallas said. "So yes, he might have some connection with it."

"I wonder why, " Kenna said, " He's so focused and dedicated to protecting the queen, and yet he tried to kill himself. "

Rin soon finished strangling the poor deer and started dragging it back to the campsite

"I probably would too, if I had to be in Lady Elincia's company all the time," Dallas said innocently. "But that's just me."
