Dallas leaned back. "It's not that I don't respect Rin. I do...a lot. But his infatuation for Elincia makes him difficult."

"I agree" Kenna said. "He doesn't have the patience for a young'un like me."

"Well, we're all in this together, so we can't afford to be choosy," Dallas sighed.

Dallas watched the fire once more, finding beauty in the way the sparks crackled and flew.

Rin looked at the place where he met elincia, he remembered her purple hair blowing in the wind and how she found him yelling about auluvin.

Kenna laid down and stared at the fire. She was doubtful she'd get much sleep.

Dallas thought about how she had fallen. Who had pushed her? She would get her revenge for sure. A grimly determined expression was on her face.
