"honestly why did they even let her near the edge." Rin said.

Kenna looked at Rin. They had all gone near the edge. They had all fallen. They were here now because the had gone near the edge.

"I don't know," Dallas said. Eve appeared to have gone asleep, so Dallas split the rest of the egg between them, before lifting Eve to carry her.

"I can't wait long enough to be in aviemore." Rin said.

Dallas gave only a grunt in reply, heaving Eve over her shoulder.

Kenna looked away and started walking.

As Rin walked he remembered his brother. "Auluvin wake up!" 6year old Rin yelled at his 8year old brother.

Dallas continued on the path to the ruins.

Kenna kept on walking.

Rin looked around the forest that he used to walk through everyday.

Suddenly, the ground gave way beneath Dallas's feet. She bodily threw Eve away from the gaping maw of the pit now opening at her feet.

Rin rushed to action. "ISN'T THIS JUST GREAT!" Rin yelled as the sinkhole opened further.

"You're right, it isn't," Kenna said as she rushed to help.

Dallas lost her footing and felt herself falling. She stretched out her hand in a last desperate attempt to save herself.

Kenna grabbed Dallas' hand, but she only slowed down the falling, and felt herself being draggged down.
