"Listen, they shouldn't bug you here," Annie said. "I'm pretty sure they wouldn't expect this."

"r-really?" Peter asked shaking in fear.

"You? In my dorm?" Annie said, raising her eyebrows. "Don't sweat it."

Peter reluctantly followed her after looking back at the bullies.

"So," Annie said. "You can teleport."

"only a few times a day, and I can't choose where I teleport to." Peter said.

"Lucky," Annie said. "I don't have any powers."
(Btw I have decided what her power is and there's a perfectly good explanation as to why she's never been able to use it until now.) -
(Peter's powers are darker though and things about him get more messed up.)
"Sometimes being powerless is better, at least you can live freely." Peter said -
Why do all of your characters have extremely tragic backstories?))
Annie shook her head. "Maybe that's true somewhere else. Here, it's different." -
(because I like them to be interesting and if they're jerks they need justification.)
"I would kill to be powerless." Peter said. -

Annie shrugged. "Then why not just pretend? It's not like you have to use your powers, right?" -
Peter stopped walking and looked away.

Annie sighed. "Alright then."
She started organizing her dorm room. -
Peter stood akwardly, then started talking to an imaginary friend. "Helios, why do you think I got here?" Peter asked the Imaginary person.

Annie spun around to see who Peter was talking to. "Er...do you have someone invisible over there?"
