Annie brushed her hair behind her ears, kicking her legs in the air as she tried to get a grip of things. Well, for starters, she was sitting in a tree. Her father had sent her to a place so that she could show her "powers" which she was thoroughly convinced she did not have.

Peter was currently hiding on the school roof. Mainly because the people down below were looking to kick his ribs in again. "PEATY BOY!" One of them yelled referring to Peter by his much hated nickname.

Annie was shocked out of her thoughts when she saw some people taunting that boy.
"Haha, very funny," she yelled back at them. "Don't you have other things to do? Maybe you should study, Malcolm, judging by the grade you got on your math quiz." -
"Peter heard someone else shout from around the same elevation as the roof. He fell down into a defensive position believing that whoever shouted was going to attack him too.

Annie looked scornfully down at the small crowd.

Peter decided to levitate elsewhere

Annie looked at Peter and hoped she had some power or powers of her own. But that was just wishful thinking. She launched herself from tree to tree. -
Peter hid away feeling his bruises stinging as he curled up under a desk.

Annie found a tree low enough to the ground that she could jump out of it, and landed somewhat clumsily on her feet, staggering a bit.

Peter started remembering his mother. "STAY THERE!" He remembered her yelling.

Annie saw the grumbling crowd and took a detour to avoid them. She ended up in the school garden, where there was a rippling pond. She always felt at ease here.

Peter wanted to cry. "How did I end up like this?" He quietly said to himself.
