"yeah but I can do it instead you know, it might be better that way." Peter said.

Annie shook her head. "You two may have to fight, and you both know that I won't be able to do that properly."

"true but what if you lose control and crash." Peter said.

"That's when you can step in," Annie said.

"okay then." Peter said not knowing what to do.

Annie made it two thirds of the way up when she began to turn pale. "You can take it now," she said faintly.

Peter used a burst of power to bring up the platform and gently set it down in the tree.

Annie panted, regaining her color.

"oh look the children are here." Said a man wearing a jester mask.

Annie stood up, her hands curled into fists. She was ready to fight him if she had to.

"now time for tests." Said the oddly jovial man.

"What tests?" Annie said, her teeth gritted.

"you'll go through each other's sufferings." The man said clapping his hands.

"I...what?" Annie said, before feeling a rushing sensation.

Peter noticed what happened the second he blinked, he was back in the arena.
