"Do you even know what we're going to have to go across to get there?" he asked, purely out of curiosity. -
Avalon shrugged her shoulders to him. "Nope, not really. I've never been out this far. I just knew that the City Of Fire was to the north." She replied back to him. "Enlighten me, what do we have to cross to get there?"

Jonathan raised his eyebrows at her shrug. She really had no idea. "Well, first we have to go through the valleys, which is a perfect place for bandits, by the way. Then there's the marshes. Those are freezing cold, even this time of year. You can hardly see two feet in front of you, from the dense fog, and the people there aren't very friendly. I'm on decent terms with them, but I don't know what they'll do with you. Then about a mile from that we have to climb down a cliff, mind you a cliff. Then there's the mountains, which are somehow even colder that the marshes, and you're likely to die of cold. I don't know why you have to go to the City of Fire, but I mean, you have a death wish going there. At least it'll be warm there, which will be a relief.

Avalon listened closely to him as he spoke, explaining what they would be going through onthe way to the destination. It excited her, it sounded like quite the experience. "This all sounds wonderful!" she exclaimed with a grin, looking forward to it all. Would be new experiences for her after all.

Jonathan stared at her. "Wonderful?" he said, stunned. "I tell you that we're likely to die going on this mad journey of yours, and you say it's wonderful?"

Avalon nodded her head happily. "Yes? Is that not... normal?" She asked, laughing a bit. "It just sounds exciting! Then, at the end of it all, we will see the City. The main attraction in this." -

"It's just that, most people don't get excited when I tell them that they'll probably die," Jonathan said, shaking his head. She had obviously never done something like this before. -
"I dont plan on dying though." She replied back. "I've got you here- and I can handle myself if needed." She shrugged again. Sure she knew the possibility was there, yes. But she didnt focus on that part, cant let that get in the way. If she didn't, she would do so anyway she felt.

Jonathan shook his head and looked forward. Better not to argue. She was an optimist. Apparently she couldn't see the danger.

Avalon grinned to herself carrying along the road, being sure to admire the scenery they came to pass by. Even if it was not much, even the little things matter. -
(Yeah, I guess I'm not an optimist.)
Jonathan kept on walking. They wouldn't get near the marshes today. Maybe in a few days, though. Right now they were just going across foggy grassy hills. -

"How long do you say it'll take exactly? To get to the City Of Fire, I mean. Sir, Jonathan." Avalon asked curiously. "From what you said earlier, we have alot to go through. Huh?"
