Jonathan looked up as the tavern door opened. He kept watch for anyone that he might recognize, be it friend or foe. It was usually foe, though. But it was no one he recognized. Just some pretty girl.

Avalon waited for the guy to come to her, using the time to look around the place. Seeing many faces that seemed unfriendly, as she turned back to the front as she heard someone there. "How can i help you?" The bartender had asked, showing a bright smile.
Avalon stared at the man fkr some moments before she decided to speak. "I'm looking for someone... I was told this was where to find him. I dont know the name though." She said, shaking her head slightly.
The bartender nodded, noting how she was dressed. He could tell she wasnt frlm the area. " can help you find whoever it is, for a price that is. 1,000 gold. Take it or leave it.
Avalon looked at him like he was crazy, 1,000 gold? Sure, she had it. But, just to find someone? That seemed a bit excessive. -
Jonathan overheard the girl's conversation with the bartender, and walked over. Cheating at cards was one thing, but this was another. 1,000? he was insane. "I don't think that's needed," he said. "All she wants is a name and place. I doubt that that high a price is needed."

The bartender glared back at him, glancing off to Avalon. "Fine. 250. Deal or no deal?" He offered.
Avalon glanced between the bartender and the man who had came over. "Deal." She said with a nod, pulling out the 250 and placing it onto the table. The bartender was about to reavh for it, but she kept her hand on top of it. "You can get it after you tell me."
"Fine." The bartender replied, leaning onto the bar.
"I need someone to act as like a bodyguard. I need to get somewhere, i need the best. I can't have this go wrong." She spoke. -

Jonathan nodded politely, and went back to his table and ale. The bartender had reduced his price considerably, he had noticed. He'd never thought himself very terrifying, but that may not be how it was to others. -
The man nodded, looking around the establishment for any of them who may fulfill what she wanted. He pointed her in the direction that Jonatan had went in.
Avalon turned around to see where he was pointing, seeing the man from just then there. "Uh, thanks." She spoke, standing up. The man gathered the gold and pocketed it, as Avalon made her way over. -
Jonathan looked up as he saw a movement coming in his direction. It was just that pretty girl. "Come to say thanks?" he said.

Avalon shook her head to him. "No, but now that you mention...thanks for that back there." She said with a smile. "He, the guy, he pointed me your way." She said eith a nod. -

"Well, what is it you need?" Jonathan asked, raising his eyebrows at the coincidence. -
Heads been hurting all day today)
"I need someone to, how to say it...take me somewhere? It is kinda far, I just need to get there as fast as possible. Okay? Do you take jobs? Are you available? I swear, it'll be well paid" Avalon began to speak. -
"Whoa, calm down with the questions," Jonathan said, putting his hands up. Yes, I do take jobs, and yes I'm available for one, and yes I will do it. But I need to know where."

Avalon nodded her head, grabbing the bag of gold she had been carrying around. "I need to get to the City Of Fire. Far up to the north." She replied as she placed the bag onto the table. "This-" she said, sliding the bag over. "Is what I'll pay. I just need to get there as fast as possible, no questions asked."

The City of Fire? Jonathan thought. She has a death wish. Just getting over the terrain to get there in the first place. 'Alright," he said. "We leave at dawn."

"You'll do it? Great!" Avalon said happily, glad she found someone who would do it so quickly. "Where can I find you at in the morning so we can begin?" She asked him. Having a room already in a place not far from the place they were in roghg now.
