It was morning. Luna was brushing her teeth in the time. She was up and ready for school. She grabbed her piece of toast, put it in her mouth, and ran to the bus. -
Luna joined Maddie on the bus and exchanged what they had done over the weekend. "Oh, you know, just the normal stuff. My brother got into trouble again with my parents... I wish that he could just be better than that. I know he can be." Maddie looked over and saw a tall, scrawny boy listening in to their conversation. "Hey!" Maddie waved. "Uh... Faint, right?"

"F-fane." He said quietly and then shuffled to the back of the bus. Someone had just talked to him. He was so embarrassed he couldn't stand it.

Tyler walked over to the three. "So how're you guys doing?" he said, specifically directing his question at Fane.

Fane immediately went further back into the bus

"What's up with him?" Maddie said in a low voice.

Tyler sighed. "He's really shy. I try to talk to him, but he just won't come out of his shell."
