“Yeah.” Skye replied, “The water looks a bit rough...”
-
"No kidding," Alia said, as the waves sliced at the thin canoe.
-
“Let’s just go while we can, who knows how rough it could be in just an hour?” Skye said, hopping into the canoe.
-
"Okay," Alia said. As soon as they pushed off, the water attempted to bash them around. She fought for control.
-
I’m writing stories over here))
“The river isn’t too far! We’ll be out of this cave in no time!” Skye yelled over the shattering sounds of waves crashing into things. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, a faint glow appeared- there was a calmer river branching off of the rougher one. Without consulting the others, Skye immediately dug her paddle into the water, and shifted them in the direction of the other river. -
Writing is awesome!)
Alia sucked her breath in. "Skye!" -
“I promise- this is a much better way to go!” Skye said as the canoe started to float down the glowing tunnel, “It feels like something’s down here, something connected to the elements!”
-
"You should have said so first," Alia scolded Skye, paddling furiously anyway.
-
“Pfft. What good would that do?” Skye said, rolling her eyes casually and started to paddle further down the tunnel.
-
"Prepared me," Alia said. "And decrease the chances of you "accidentally" getting thwacked in the face with a paddle."
-
“You wouldn’t do that!” Skye said playfully. Turning back to the river, which was now glowing like never before. Tiny fish began to appear, streaks of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, seering through them. Each one represents an element!
-
Alia gaped at them. "Oh my God, they're elemental!"
One of the red ones leapt out of the water and blew a curl of red flame in the air before diving back down again. -
Skye gasped, “Wow! Maybe we can get our powers back if we find the one that matches us!” A small yellow fish leapt out of the water, the air carrying it higher than the others. It’s streaks were streaks of brilliant glowing yellow.
-
Alia put her hand in the water and the purple fish swirled around her, glowing softly. It shimmered like a crystal. "This is the one," she said. "This is it! We're almost there!"
-
The fish are so fun to describe))
The tunnel widened and a small island with a single flower on it. She could feel it was magical, and she assumed that Alia felt the same.
