She squealed with excitement and ran off to the Gryffindor table, shaking everyone’s hands wildly.
(Wait is she supposed to go to the Gryffindor table?) -
(Yes, she is)
A great deal of students stepped forward and received their house, when finally, Oasis heard her name being called.
"Oasis Cairn!"
She stepped nervously towards the stool and sat on it, pulling the hat onto her head. She instantly heard a small voice.
"Ah, this is a difficult choice. Plenty of ambition, a fondness for books I see, and bravery, yes, much bravery. You would be quite successful in Ravenclaw, but no, wait... better be GRYFFINDOR!" the hat shouted. Oasis ran to Harbor, jumping up and down from excitement. -
She grabbed Oasis by the hand and pulled her to the Gryffindor table where they were greeted by students of all years. “This is Carmen,” she said pointing to a second year with light brown hair, Carmen waved nervously. “And that’s Sam, Violet, uh... I didn’t get that guy’s name... anyways,” she cupped her hands around her mouth and yelled, “HEY GUYS, THIS IS OASIS!!!”

Oasis sat down with a shy squeak, blushing furiously. She pulled Harbor down to her seat.
A few curious heads peered in her direction before a girl with a silvery blond hair eagerly sat down at the table.
"Hi, I'm Sunny Longbottom!" the girl said, extending her hand to Oasis and then Harbor. -
She shook the girl’s hand, “Nice to meet you! I’m Harbor Wood.” She stood up and looked around, “Hey, where’s Zaharakii? I hope he gets into Ravenclaw, he told me he wanted to.”

"I hope he's in Gryffindor," Oasis said. "He's really nice."

(Aw man I would've joined if my computer wasn't broken... can I join you guys please? Maybe my character could always be a late person, so that explains why they were late to the sorting)

Age: 11
Gender: Female
Appearance: Her hair is dyed a deep purple and her eyes are bright blue
Personality: Usually late all the time, she likes to draw, and has already mastered how to ride a broom. Other personality traits will be developed as we go.
Pet: My owl is a deep black owl with yellow eyes. Her name is midnight
Wand: Angel and Unicorn hair mixed with redwood.
Other: She is a witch and is in Ravenclaw. -
(Technically you can't get an angel hair as a core but oh well :P)

Vanessa shoved the door open. When she heard the name being pronounced, she let out a breath. She wasn't late.

The witch pursed her lips at the sight of Vanessa.
"You are very late," she snapped. "Sit on the stool on pull on the hat. I will speak with your head of house." -
(She hasn't been sorted yet. She's 11.)

Vanessa pointed her head down and sat on the stool, yanking on the hat.

"Let's see," the hat said. "You seem to be late all the time, what a shame. However you are smart and creative... your house is... RAVENCLAW!!!"
