Sgrios visiably winced as he let her help him up, avoiding putting any weight on one leg. "Who was here?" He asked, looking scared

"Um, some magical canine...thing," she said. "They're gone now."

He relaxed slightly. "Canine? Did it have white fur?

"Yes," she said. "Do you know him? He seemed like he wanted to make sure you were alright."
She began to set the table and put food on the plates. -
He nodded "that was Ci-Annifyr" he said before pausing "you uh may want to make sure nothings missing. He likes to 'borrow' things" he said

Wren nodded and looked around, before returning in a storm of fury.
"An entire bottle of mulled mead! I guess I'll have to get something else for Roxie's birthday," she sighed, slicing the beef. -
Sgrios laughed quietly, sounding almost like a child before he stopped himself

Wren frowned to herself. There was no need for Sgrios to hide his amusement. He would just have to get used to life here, and he would be far better off.

Sgrios noticed her frown and his ears lowered, his tail half curling between his legs before he moved to go back upstairs

"No, wait! I wasn't frowning because you were laughing, I was sad that you tried to hide your emotions. Where I come from, people show their feelings all the time," she said, hurriedly.
"Too much, actually," she added as an afterthought. -
"Oh" he said quietly but stopped moving, seeming unsure as to how to react to that

"Well, at least eat something," she said, in a slightly embarrassed voice.

He hesitated before sitting down at the table, his ears twitchis twords her

She handed him his utensils, wondering if he knew how to use them. She picked the knife and fork up and began to saw at her meat.

Sgrios looked a little confused and watched how she used them before he hesitantly mimicked her
