Wren heard a loud crash and ran to investigate the noise. She gasped loudly as she noticed a form lying in a small crater. She ran towards it, her sky blue robes billowing behind her as she ran.
"Hey, are you alive? Please talk to me," she begged, applying pressure to the wounds to stop the bleeding. -
Sgrios didnt initially respond due to how much pain he was in and how much blood he had lost, but quickly started to panic when he realised she was there. He tried to push himself away from her, but barely had the strength to move as his tattered ears folded flat against gis head
-
"Stop fighting against me and hold still for a second," she said, cutting of bits of her robe. "You've lost a lot of blood."
She spread some sort of magical healing ointment on his wounds and wrapped them up, muttering incantations. -
He slowly stopped moving, though it was more from the fact that he just couldnt anymore rather then him listening to her. He stared at her in terror, but appeared to be starting to calm down as he realised she wasnt hurting him and the fear was being replaced with confusion. "...why are you helping me" he asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper
-
She raised her eyebrows, surprised.
"Because you need help. You'll die if no one helps you." -
"Dont you know who i am?" He asked, sounding scared again as he watched her wearily, his ears lowering
-
-
Wren frowned at him.
"Uh...no. Why would it matter, anyway?" -
He frowned slightly "i am Sgrios. The god of Destruction" he said simply, staring up at her as he managed to wrap his tail around his leg
-
She looked shocked but didn't stop bandaging him.
"So? Does that mean I shouldn't be helping because you're a god and you're probably immortal? Is that it?" -
He looked bewildered before he started trying to sit up, grunting softly as he grit his teeth against the pain. "Ive killed thousands of mortals. Why are you so willing to help me. Whats the catch" he hissed, his upper eyes closing against the pain as he fought to stay conscious
-
"There's no catch," she said, looking at him, skeptically. "Where did you come from? And mortals...why did you kill them?"
-
He watched her wearily, clearly not believing her as his ears dropped. "It doesnt matter" he said as he turned his head away, wincing as the sound of cracking bone. "I killed them. Thats all that will ever matter" he said quieter
-
"The reason matters. Was it an accident? Did you...want to do it?" she continued, waving her staff over one of his injuries.
-
Sgrios stayed quiet for several long seconds debating with himself before he finally answered her "no. I didnt want to kill them but i had to." He said slowly, staribg vacantly at the bloodsoaked dirt he was sitting on
