While Valerie takes out the dishes, the snacks, and the drinks she spots a small spider in the corner of the dining room and has to stifle another scream. However, she thinks its a normal spider so she tentatively throws a shoe at it to squash it, making sure not to get too close. "Conquered by the noble and brave Valerie Von Vanderbat!" She says in overexagerrated victory.

Sorry for the late reply guys I haven't been feeling well for a while I'll try to keep posting frequently as possible)
Chress couldn't shake the feeling that eyes were on him but none of his friends were near him so he figured nothing of it shrugging his shoulders and starts running a streamers up the rail of the stair case with one fluid motion -
Kenny saw a spider in the left corner on the ceiling. Spiders were nothing new, so he just ignored it and kept decorating as much as he could.

The spider watching Valerie narrowly avoided being squashed. Webster ordered the spider to retreat into a crack in the kitchen to avoid being squashed.
Jack saw one of the spiders and said "Hello, little fellow. Are you one of Webster's pets? Does that mean he's coming over this year? I hope so, it's been so long since I've seen him last. After he had left to go find some treasure he heard of." -
"We're going to check out this abandoned house. It's supposed to be haunted. But I don't think a baby like you could handle it." Carla chewed on her cheek as Connor's friends texted him to tell him they were close. He grinned as he texted them to update their plans. Maybe taking Carla with him wouldn't be such a drag after all.

Valerie finished setting up the snack table and goes to help Kenny with the decorations. She passes Chress on the staircase and gives him a wave. She unfortunately doesn't reach Kenny, though, because at a window she sees some bats floating around in circles. She opens it.
"Auntie Esme, is that you? You came to play music, right?" Valerie's aunt shapeshifts into her humanish form and sits at the window sill gracefully. "Darn tootin', honey! Our instruments are out front, you know how they say that vampires can't come in uninvited." Valerie nods and heads to the front door. She was never sure if that was a myth or if vampires were just polite. -
Chress waves back to val whii he continues to line the stairs with streamers reaching the top and seeing val at the window talking to her aunt. "Do you want some help bringing in those instruments" he offers setting his role of streamers down

Kenny did not notice Valerie walking over to him before the cats came in. He couldn't help with the instruments, as they were too heavy. "I can do the streamers while you help if she wants any." Kenny offers.

Jack set up more decorations until he came to the stage with Amethyst. Amethyst asked "So Jack, who will our mystery guest be?" Jack answered "Can't tell you until we're done decorating. I can only tell you this, it is a person no one has seen ever before." Amethyst was now interested and had strange visions in her head about what this could be.

It was getting closer to time for Connor and Carla to go. Connor's two best friends were listening intently to Connor's plan.
"It's almost too easy!" He exclaimed. "We get her to go into the haunted house and we get to laugh when she's too scared! She might even pee herself!"
Unbeknownst to the boys, Carla had been eavesdropping and heard their plan. So, she formed a plan of her own to get back at the boys. She'd be the bravest one of all and stay in the house longer than they would. -
"Yes, thank you Chress and Kenny," Valerie says to them with a smile. She opens the door and her aunt and three other vampires enter. Even though Esme is hundreds of years older than her, Esmeralda looks to be in her young 20s. Valeria tries and fails at picking up the drummer's drums. "I'll help with that, dear," Esme offers. She points at the guitar, the bass, the sound and the microphone equipment to signal for everyone else to pick up those things.

Chress hands Kenny the streamers and picks up the some of the sound equipment (speakers and mics) and follows val through the halls to set everything down

Kenny takes the streamers and has fun decorating. He flies around happily.

(Should we time skip to the decorating being over and Carla being out with her brother?)
