Valerie arrived at the doorstep of the Ghostly Mansion in a black turtleneck, a checkboard skirt, and black high heels, along with many other accesories. In her hands she had two large bags, one of which was full of foods and drinks for the halloween party. The other bag was full of various backup outfits, of course.
Valerie wasn't sure on whether to barge in or to knock. "Jack?" She called, in that strange accent of hers that fluctuated quite a bit. -
Chress walks down the road waving to folks as he passes then by with a smile or at least he would wave had he not been carrying boxes of assorted party favors, hats and assorted gizmos you would see at a childrens party, he figured everyone might get a kick out of them, he stops at the gate seeing Valerie knowing he'll see her inside so he sets his boxes down that go to about his chest and stretches his hands because he had been gripping the boxes for so long then gets ready to pick the boxes up again

Kenny floats his way to the mansion. He can't really bring anything, as everything goes through him if he tries to hold it. Kenny sees that Chress and Valerie are already there. "Hey guys!" He calls out excitedly. Kenny notices that no one is inside yet, so he patiently waits for someone else to go in.

Jack and Amethyst looked at their friends, wondering how all three of them didn't even see them talking on the front lawn of the mansion. Jack wanted to tell them but Amethyst convinced him of a better idea. They both snuck up very quietly and, once behind their friends, shouted loudly to scare the heck out of them.

While Carla sat in her room excitedly planning the best route to take her parents on for the most candy, her brother Connor had gone into the kitchen to get an afternoon snack. "Hey, Connor?" Their mom asked. "I know it's short notice, but could you take Carla Trick or Treating this year? Your dad's work late and I'd like to be here when he gets home." Connor tried to protest, but nothing could sway his mom's opinion. So, Connor thought of a plan to get Carla to want to stay home so he could go hang out with his friends.

"Hi Kenny!" Valeria says, before she remembers that she's supposed to be more refined. "I mean- good day. How do you do?"
When Jack and Amethyst snuck up on Valerie, she screamed very loudly. She even did an almost comical move where she threw her bags into the air, but she swiftly caught them when she realized that it was just Jack and Amethyst. She awkwardly turns her scream into a cough, and then into a yawn. "Hah, as if that could scare me!" Valeria declared with a flip of her hair in a diva-like fashion. -
Chress said hey to Kenny with a smile as he picked up his boxes
Chress was surprised at first but gained his composure just in time to catch his boxes before he begins to laugh it off -
"I'm doing fantastic!" Kenny smiles. "How are you both-" Kenny screams and floats away into the wall of the mansion. After noticing the silence, he comes back out. "Oh! It's just you guys! You spooked me good!"

Amethyst nodded at Valerie's recovery and sarcastically said "Uh-huh, sure. Nothing scares you, Val" Jack then said "We just thought we'd give to a fun scare for Halloween." He then pulled out the key to mansion he had and unlocked the front door of the mansion. Walking in, he then said "Okay, we got to get working. We got a lot of decorating to do for tonight. And I'm gonna get us a very special guest this year."

"Hey Carla," Connor said, entering her room. "What are you doing?"
"Laying out my costume for tonight. It's gonna be a blast!" Carl's responded happily, not looking at him. He scoffed.
"You're still going out? What a baby." Carla stopped.
"What?" -
"I'll go set the table!" Valerie says cheerfully as they finally make their way into the mansion. She wondered who this mysterious guest was as she made her way to the kitchen. Once there and alone, Valerie makes the rash decision to change her outfit. Now she wore thigh high black socks, white shorts, and a black cami, all coupled with the many other accessories

Chress began setting his boxes down and walked the halls of the mansion putting up streamers with a tape dispenser he pulled from his sheath he looked around at his friends and smiled said sheathing his tape dispenser

Kenny closes his eyes and concentrates. If he needs to, he can use his energy to hold light objects without it phasing through him. His hands turn blue, signaling he can hold something. He grabs a spooky banner(is that what they're called? Like the long skinny things you hang on a wall/frame) and hangs it up.

Jack started setting up the decorations all along the walls of the mansion. He put up pumpkins, bats, spider webs and orange and black garland. Amethyst was setting up the stage in the mansion to make sure everyone could hear whoever would be singing on stage all throughout the mansion. She even tested the mics and amps.
Unbeknownst to any of them, several small spiders watched everyone's movements in the mansion these spiders were all the spying eyes of Webster the Spider. A friend that no one had seen in a while. He watched them all prepare and said "Another year, another time I must waste here in my spider den. If only I could get that key to the human world. Then I'll show those humans who is the boss. But until then, I'll just sit here and complain." -
Connor had to stop himself from smirking when Carla turned to look at him.
"Yeah, it's totally true. Only babies go or trick or treating." Carla looked down at her feet, tears welling up in her eyes.
"I'm not a baby..."
"Then I guess you might as well stay here tonight," Connor said, shrugging. "It's just as well. I'm going out with my friends anyway-"
"But you're not babies. What are you doing?" Connor didn't bother hiding his smirk this time.
