Travis could tell Amelia was annoyed but he tried not to say anything. He walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. He turned one the TV to see if anything good was on.
-
Soon the pizza came, and Amelia paid for it using the money that was given to her to start off with. She put the pizza on the counter, putting two slices on a plate for herself. "From one to six how many slices do you want?" Amelia asked him.
-
Travis answered "Two please." as he was watching a show called Myths and Monsters. It appeared to be about figuring out the real life inspirations of mythological monsters.
-
Amelia nodded, getting out two slices and handing his to him before sitting down on the other side of the couch. "Is this a documentary or something?" She asked.
-
Travis took his pizza and said "I don't know. I think it might be. For now it's talking about the minotaur." Travis wondered what might be in store for them this whole week. He would probably have to show Amelia how passions can be good for everyone.
(I have a question, just who are the three that were cast out of the Zodiac? Did they have specific names and are they still alive?) -
(Orion, Pleiades, and Ursa-Major. They are a plot twist I have in mind for if the role play gets boring.)
“Good luck with that.” Amelia thought in response to his thoughts entering her mind. Passions were nice, but they weren’t as essential or peaceful as family. They separated people from each other, caused wars, caused anxiety and drug addictions. They caused people to shut others out. Just for a few moments of glory. Amelia sighed, eating her pizza as she tried to think about other things. -
(Okay.)
Travis just scoffed and ate his pizza. Family to him was important, but sometimes it got in the way. Especially families that will push away someone's clearly amazing passion in pursuit of something quote "realistic." These kinds of families had to be ignored in order to pursue a passion. -
"Alright, watch this." She told him, channeling a memory through her mind to his, her first memory.
Amelia was once known as Athena, the Goddess of War in her past life. She was one of the youngest Gods in that generation, and after her 781 years of living as Athena, all the Gods and Goddesses of that generation wiped out of existence. Only a chosen fifteen were reincarnated.
Pisces awoke as an infant, down at the bottom of the ocean, where two fish came to her. They became her friends, and over the next two thousand and nineteen years they would evolve until they became the two energy forces she wields now. Standing up, Pisces was led by the fish up to the shore, memories of her past life of Athena fleeting from her. Her abusive father, Ares, had not been reincarnated luckily. But his greed, his passion for power that he abused her under had left scars behind on her reincarnated form. Athena had died with one regret, and that regret rose as a calling for Pisces as she gazed upon a beautiful family reunion in the distance. The regret that she didn't have a family.
Amelia quickly pulled away her thoughts from that memory, realizing there was more to the memory than she had thought. She hadn't realized until the mind link collected it that the one memory contained the memories of Athena, her past life. The lives Athena had destroyed and slaughtered for her father, Ares, only to get neglected or treated like his personal servant. Pisces has not recalled these memories until now. But they fleeted from her mind as soon as they came, and she continued the memory of her calling.
Pisces looked in awe as the fish turned to blue jays to follow her, watching the family and the way the worked together, played together. It was a beautiful thing, the children playing, the adults relaxed, knowing that this was a large crowd that they were safe in. Pisces realized at that moment that there was much more to family than loyalty and control, love and support were essential to keep them going. And that was her calling, her calling to guide families and help them grow stronger together. The memory continued to show a part of that family she failed to grow, failed because the father walked out on his children and wife to work as the CEO of a large company. And that was where the tension between her and Scorpio began, and over the next two thousand and so years the tension grew little by little as fathers, mothers, children, and more left their families for their passions.
"There. They wanted you to understand me, no you understand me." Pisces muttered, eating her pizza.
(Sorry for getting a bit too deep with that post, figured it'd get things going a bit.) -
Travis held his head with his hands and said "Yes, but did you have to put it in that exposition dump. Gave me a headache." He then got over it and said "Well, I saw your memory. Here is mine." He then concentrated and channel a memory through the link.
Travis did not remember his past life, the only thing he could remember was waking up as an infant in a desert and yet somehow not getting a sunburn or heat stroke from the desert heat. A scorpion came to him and helped him become who he was over the next thirty-two hundred years and eventually fusing with his anatomy to become Scorpio. While he didn't remember his past life, something nagged him at the back of his mind. "People should follow their passions" is what it kept telling him.
He then stopped to as not to put a strain on Pisces. He said "Do you understand me or do you need more?" -
"Well, to be fair, I only meant to show you the reunion and the father leaving his family. I only meant to show you how important family is and how it can be destroyed when passion is taken too seriously. That extra stuff was just scooped up by the mind link." She huffed. "And technically all you told me was extra stuff and that a voice tells you to guide people to their passions. How does that help me understand you?" She asked.
(I don't think this idea of mine helped anything, all it did was help me build my character a bit, which I didn't really have to post about at this point. Sorry bout that.) -
(Don't worry about it. It's fine.)
Travis said "Because, I see how happy people can be, when they do the things they love. I'll admit, I never know what kind of passion the people I influence have, but sometimes I look and see people in terrible lives and I just feel as though I have to do something. And if I'm lucky, the person I helped goes on to be someone everyone talks about in a good way. Sometime it doesn't work and I'll admit that, but I just have to keep believing." -
“So you just do it cause it’s your job.” She replied with a shrug. “Alright, now we understand each other. What do you want to do with the rest of the week?” Amelia asked.
-
(Well that part of the plot wrapped up quickly didn't it?)
Travis said "I'm not sure. I suppose we could just talk some more and get to know each other and the humans better. I've always been curious about them." -
(Yeah... I guess the mind link made it too easy. But there’s still the romance part of the plot, and possibly the plot twist to fulfill.)
-
(Alright then.)
