Travis said "Whoa there, friend. We're not dating, just friends and roommates. But I'm happy I could help you out. I had a feeling you weren't in a good place so I thought you could use the encouragement."
-
"Yeah, sure." The boy replied, still grinning. Amelia was confused to feel her cheeks warm up at the boy's question, but she waved it aside as she finished ordering. "The food should be here in twenty minutes." She told Travis as she put the phone away. "Well, thanks again, to both of you. I gotta go home for dinner." He told them, but before setting off he had one more thing to say. "Let me know if you start dating, maybe I could play the guitar for you guys." He then teased before setting off. Amelia chuckled, shaking her head as she sat on the couch.
-
Travis shut the door and said "Why in the world would he think we were dating? Can two adults not just be friends living in an apartment?" He sat down and turned on the TV.
-
-
"Usually humans of opposite genders live together if they are college room mates, siblings, or if they're a couple." Pisces explained, looking at the tv to see what he was watching.
-
Travis said "I know, but that's no reason to make assumptions." He was really just flipping through channels not really finding anything.
-
"Well, that's how teenagers are some times." Amelia replied. "You could say it's one of their passions." She then teased, sitting beside him and checking the time.
-
Travis just looked at her and said "Right." He soon found a show called Mysteries at the Museum. It seemed to talk about curious items with incredible stories attached in different museums.
-
Soon the KFC arrived, and Amelia sighed in relief as she went to get it. "Hey, you're the girl at the coffee place right?" He asked as she paid for the chicken. "That I am." She replied with a smile. "Real nice of you, what you did for that boy." He told her. "Would you like to, I don't know, get some coffee some time- Wait no you work with coffee... Ugh... I mean... Maybe dinner?" He asked. "You're trying to ask me out?" Amelia asked. "Uh..." He began, noticing Scorpio. "Oh, don't worry about him. He's just a family friend helping me out while I get into college." Amelia assured the delivery boy. "Well, then yes. Yes, I'm asking you out." He told her. "Well, I'll be out of town in about a week, but here's my number. Maybe we can arrange something sometime." Amelia replied. "Awesome. I'm Eric by the way." He replied, offering his hand. "Amelia." Amelia replied, shaking it. "Well, see you some time." He told her. "Good luck delivering." Amelia told him. "Good luck... coffee... serving... dammit... good luck." Eric replied awkwardly, walking down the hall. Amelia wasn't sure why she gave that human boy her number, most likely to get her head reassured about what that boy had said, or maybe because she wanted to have more connections in the human world. The latter would probably be a better explanation for now.
-
Travis just smirked and said "So you're gonna start dating human's now? You said it yourself, you'll be gone within the week, how that long distance relationship gonna work?"
-
"It's good to have connections in the human world. Besides, I could tell he's gotten a lot of rejection. I figured I'd help him become more confident rather than be yet another rejection." She explained. "Besides, I can always come down here in my human form. Eugene does it all the time." She added.
-
Travis said "Good point." He took some of the chicken and put it on a plate and sat back down. He then said "Just be careful okay? Despite what I am I usually don't trust people all that much. And I have no idea why."
