Idk... I think it's just you're far more creative. The others don't stand out as much with their characters, so it's easier to let their characters go with the flow.
I don't want you to change anything, I just go through my thoughts like that to help me figure out what exactly is going on. I don't want to be a control freak, I just get panicked when a lot is going on at once and I don't have enough tools in role play to fix it.
Occasionally I pull a Mary Sue to solve a problem I get stuck in, and I don't enjoy pulling them. Specially since they tend to only make things more hectic.
I'm not criticizing you, I'm just going through my thoughts to try and figure out the situation. Your characters stand out more, so they appear more often in my thoughts. That doesn't mean they should be changed. That just means I'm trying to process them.
I keep missing important things too no matter how hard I try... Like Mia's melted stove and Kurieita's lizard. I never intended the character to ignore them, but because I made a mistake seems Minerva tends to ignore people. Then again, hard not to ignore a stray lizard when the house is going on fire, but that's besides the point.
And seems like I started going through my thoughts again. Lol
I don't intend them to be lectures. I intend them to be monologues or rambling or ranting or venting. They aren't targeted at anyone. If you're showing up more in my ramblings that just means I notice you more. That doesn't mean I'm upset with you.
That's why I kept clarifying that I wasn't attacking your character. I know my rambling can often seem like I'm lecturing or picking on someone, but I'm just trying to get my thoughts organized and think of a solution. -
Uhh can everyone please answer a quick question
What would Alva-Rose make your character for Christmas? She's into crafting things for special occasions, I'd imagine that she made everyone a gift -
For ganz probably a blanket or a cloak something to help keep him warm sense he gets cold so easily and i have no idea for Kurieite. Hes the kind of person that would absolutely adore anything someone gives him
-
Jason - a pillow
Mia- a blanket
Roman- anything Herat or deer related
Henry- make mr dad man a scarf
JD-patchwork blanket all about cryptids -
For Cheryl she enjoys filling her walls and roof with glow in the dark stars. She always has room for more.
-
Heart*
JD needs to chill -
Aaron would probably appreciate a small wooden statue of his favorite kaiju, Battra
Ilsa would really like a pillow case with a sea turtle on it. Her favorite kind of turtle. -
If you had to classify your character as a monster from the Godzilla franchise, what would they be? Just out of curiosity.
Aaron: Rodan
Ilsa: Biollante
If you need some help in this department, here is something that can help: -
JD: Godzilla
Roman: ???
Mia: mothra
Jason: mothra
Mothman.....mothra -
So I’m assuming the house is somewhere in america?
I’m going to have JD run away for a little bit. They’re going to come back within a day or two, but a sighting of the jersey devil is what’s going to cause Mothman to come to wherever the kids are, -
JD will be heading to west vrigina
-
Heck even if the monsters fail to get the kids, I think Minerva will personally shut down the breeding program. Lol.
I think I’ll try doing this plot sometime without revealing the plot twist. Just to see if it would actually work better. -
One important facet of this plot is that the players know their characters are monsters. It wouldn’t work to pull that rug out from under them.
I think honestly what’s happening here is you’re mistaking teenage rebellion as a sign that Jd knows what’s happening. -
I know it’s teenage rebellion. But he’s still making it easy for the monster side. Then again, in most stories I read about children in these stories the children are loyal to their parents. Come to think of it, teenagers that are rebellious in stories usually have good reason.
Sorry for being hard on you guys. I don’t know why I’m being hard on you, I guess I took being strict too far. It’s hard to make it so the parents are controlling dictators that can easily contain the kids while still pulling off the parent act.
You’re right about them needing to know they are monsters... Idk. Maybe I should let someone else run the plot next time so I’m not so controlling with it. I’m not good at making cruel characters so that might be the problem. -
I hope we aren't giving this up again. That'd be twice now that Aaron and Chris didn't hook up like I want.
