The crow squawked loudly and landed on the boat,
Sloth looked at aspen, “...I remember enough to know that I’m not a kid. They might be but I’m not.” They say as they survey their own hands, -
"Sounds really bad to me, and Rita thinks that the prophecy is referring to Arwyn. I forgot how it goes exactly, something about 'o broken one' and then 'broken one fell into darkness, they're gonna bring destruction, they're the killer of sin, killer of flame, killer of everyone in their way," Murry says, stroking his chin as he tried to think and remember the words. Finn looked distraught at the news.
"Ah, right. Don't think I haven't noticed. You've got that thing where you change personalities. Who are you, then? Trapped in a kids body, how sad," Aspen says.
Arwy notices that no one gets Finn and Avalon so she sighs and decides to go herself. She climbs down from the boat carefully. -
"Oh that doesn't sound good." Avalon said. He then wondered what this could mean, fell into darkness, bring destruction, killer of sin? Could this mean Arwyn was going to betray them of become possessed?
-
Gineye watched Awryn for a moment before he walked over to a rock and sat down on it, digging through his bag of holding
-
R.i.p. sin.)
Sloth blinked. “...you actually care? Most of my companions just...call me sin, and treat me like I am them.” They said,
“ my name is sloth, and I think...I think I was a knight of Sin.” They mumble quietly, “...I’m...a demon I think?” -
Murry holds up a hand to silence Finn and Avalon, just as Arwyn kicks open the door. "Alright dipwads, time to skidaddle!" she says, pointing to Finn and Avalon. Murry looks at them and nods. "Remember what I told you," Murry says simply, before ushering them out goodheartedly.
"Care wouldn't be the exact term I'd use.." Aspen begins to say, but he drops it. He didn't want to go on another rant about how much of an unemotional mess he was. "A knight of Sin? So you had your own body?" Aspen asks Sloth. -
Avalon was still unnerved over that prophecy. What could it all mean? He couldn't stop thinking about it as he got into the boat to cross this monster filled lake. He just hoped everything will work itself out in the end.
-
Gineye started pulling out random things from his bag
-
Sloth nodded hesitantly. “ I believe I did. I was sloth I know that much. Wrath remembers the most but I can’t question them in the headspace. They’re too powerful there. There’s also the fact that no one is able to find sin. There’s a locked eight door but going near it causes us to just...stop. It’s like extreme sorrow? We give up the moment we get to it.”
-
"Aspen, Gineye, Sin!" Arwyn called as she herded Finn and Avalon onto the boat. "We're gonna try and get moving before it becomes nightfall. If you don't wanna be left behind better get onboard now," Arwyn says.
Finn got onto the boat and gave Avalon a melancholy look. Now it was two secrets they shared, one of a prophecy and the vial of good luck potion.
"Interesting," Aspen remarks, genuinely meaning it. "Have you ever considered that this eigth door could be another sin? Not sin as in the person, but sin as in like wrath and you," Aspen says, casually ignoring Arwyn just to piss her off. -
Avalon patted Finn's head to give him some reassurance. Hopefully this whole crazy venture would enrich everyone as a person.
-
Gineye blinked at Awryn and then shrugged before putting everything back into his bag and hopping up onto the boat
-
Sloth blinked. “ ...there are seven sins, wrath, pride, envy, lust, greed, sloth and gluttony.” They say. “ An eight sin...that should sound impossible but I feel like...I’m missing something, I think you could be right, but no one is able to get into that room, or within five metres of it.” They say.
They stand up and decide to face Arwyn “that’s not my name.” They say as they get onto the boat. They look tired but a little happier than before. -
Finn pulls Avalon aside so Arwyn wasn't within earshot. "Prophecies can change. If it's really about Arwyn, maybe we can bring out her good side before she does anything bad," Finn suggests, ever the optimist.
"What's your name, then? I've got a whole list of nicknames I could give you. You'll love them all! That is, if you're a masochist," Arwyn says impatiently. Aspen gives Arwyn a dirty look, which Arwyn returns with a hard glare.
"In a bad mood? Stop taking it out on the youngest one here. Can't be mad you couldn't see your little girlfriend Rita," Aspen says to Arwyn snottily. Arwyn growls, tensions rise. -
Avalon said "For all of our sakes, I hope you're correct. I don't want our journey to be for naught."
