(*sarcasm mode* Ha, ha, ha, funny.
*deadpan* I'm serious.)
Avalon also wondered what the helmet he was given does as well. He hadn't seen anything too miraculous since he put it on. Maybe it was to heighten his hypnotic abilities or something like that. However he had no proof of this, since he hadn't had a chance to test it. -
Gineye shrugged "the list was Axeys idea" he said, sounding a little sad for just a second before cheering up. "Mind, she called it her 'people to consume' list, but close enough"
-
Sloth nodded. “...no offence but your brother is kind of a dick. There are ways to return stolen souls...why don’t you ask the wizard for a soul? “ they ask. “ it’s ironic but I can empathise with it. I don’t exactly have my soul anymore either,” they said quietly.
They knew enough to not out the self as a demon, but that didn’t help much. -
(Would you be mad if I told you that I actually shadowed the forums, but never replied to the roleplays)
"If I'd had my powers-," Arwyn starts, but she has to stop herself from revealing too much. Arwyn remembers that she really shouldn't trust or get close to anyone, and she tenses up and her expression hardens. "We could team up after this wizard fiasco and hunt the ones on your list," Arwyn suggests with a mischievous tone.
They finally reach the cliff and have to stop pushing the boat so that it doesn't crash onto the sand below. Finn merrily skips over to the front and looks down, whistling as his eyes travel to the ground many meters downward. He's surprised to spot a house, with what looked like someone sitting down and reading, but Finn couldn't be sure.
Aspen shakes his head at the situation in an 'I told you so' manner, before turning back to Sin. "Poor child, doesn't have a soul. You probably empathize for me. Normally I'd take advantage of your pity and have you lean in my favor, but I suppose I'll give it to you straight since you're not such a bad chap," Aspen pauses, for dramatic flare, "I'm not interested in regaining my soul," Aspen says with a deadpan shrug. -
(A little. It gets boring here without ya.)
Avalon saw the house too and asked Arwyn "Are we supposed to go down there? If we are, then how?" He wasn't sure if they had a rope or if there was a safe way down the cliff that he couldn't see. -
Gineye looked over the ridge, trying to see how far down it was as he answered arwyn. "If you dont mind hunting demons, then sure, sounds like a good idea"
-
(I'm sorry brodudeski, I'll try and be more active 🙏🙏)
At the mention of demons, Arwyn's confidence faltered, and the image of her old half dragon teammate flashed into her mind. Her heartbeat spiked and she put a hand over her head in an attempt to calm herself. "Gineye has ropes, he tied that ogre to the tree," Arwyn answers Avalon in a slightly lower tone than usual. Despite the chaos from that ogre battle, Arwyn had been paying attention to her teammates and their powers and fighting styles.
Finn takes a few steps back then runs and jumps right over the edge of the cliff.
Arwyn, now normal, shrugs at this. She is unfazed at whether he lives or not, and she doesn't even look over the edge to check.
Finn is indeed alive, though, he's using his fire as a way to stay in the air.
"Try not to light your clothes on fire, show off," Arwyn says with an eye roll. -
(Alright)
Avalon freaked out a little when Finn just jumped off the cliff. He calmed down when he used fire to slow his descent and land safely. He then stood up and said "Gineye, if you do have ropes, can you use them to help us get down this cliff?" -
Gineye hummed "I should be able to" he said before forking some rope and directing it to wrap around the boat
-
Arwyn nudges for Sin, Aspen, and Avalon to get on the boat so when Gineye lowers it they can descend as well. Arwyn, however, takes out two knives and begins to go down in her own way.
Finn, already at the bottom, skips over to the house, up to a very odd looking fellow who was sitting on the porch. "Hi there!" Finn says, waving excitedly with a wide smile. Murry looks up from his book. "Finn!" Murry exclaims, as if meeting an old friend. Finn looks very confused. "Have we met?" Finn asks, still smiling, but unsurely. -
Avalon looked at Arwyn as he got into the boat and said "Show off." He then looked at Gineye and said "Let's hope that combined with the boat, we aren't too heavy for you. And for the record, this isn't exactly what I had in mind."
-
Gineye shrugged at Avalon and waited still they where both in the boat before two axes with ropes for handles shot out of his back and sunk into the ground to act as anchors. He then carefully pushed the boat over the cliff and started lowering it down
-
Arwyn sticks her tongue out at Avalon and she tries to race to the bottom to see if she could climb down faster than the boat being lowered. They were pretty neck in neck, though.
"Of course we haven't, but I've heard all about you. I have tea brewing if you'd like some," Murry says with a smile. This would probably be about the time that you would feel cautious and natural instinct would tell you to not trust this guy and get away as fast as possible. But! This was Finn, so he did the only logical thing and followed Murry into the house. -
Avalon looked at Finn entering the house and asked "Does Finn know the person there or is he being nice? I can't think of any reason to go in there. Is he someone we should worry about Arwyn?"
-
Gineye signed in relief when the boat touched the ground and carefully let his ropes and axes vanish. He then walked off the edge of the cliff, letting himself fall about halfway down before faddibg into an ax
