Scarlet smiled when the girl came over. “Hey there! I’m Scarlet. You poor thing, all alone. You must be scared.” Scarlet greeted. “Well, don’t worry! I’ll be your friend! You know, come to think about it, you need someone to show you around. Show you how things work around here.” Scarlet chattered. “Want me to show you what’s what?” She asked. -
Ril blinked. They looked around the room for another possible exit. They didn’t like strangers very much, upon being unable to find any exit. They nodded to scarlet,

“Great!” Scarlet cheered, using her magic to put the soul in battle mode. “Alright, so see that heart? It represents your soul.” Scarlet explained. “Your soul contains HP, also known as Harm Points. The more it goes down, the less harm you have. You’ll also see LV, otherwise known as Love. Everyone wants love!” She cheered. “You want love too, don’t you?” She asked with a grin.

Cana seemed suspicious. Strangers who offered love made Cana nervous. They shook their head worriedly.

“Oh come on! It’s simple! All you have to do to get love is catch the pellets! Ready?” Scarlet chuckled, bullets raining slowly around the heart.

Cana avoided them. Now this was much to good to be true. Being loved by being hit? They didn’t trust that at all!

Scarlet frowned a bit, knowing if she didn’t kill this kid now, she would become attached, and attached was dangerous. “Uh... Hey... Maybe I should have explained a bit better. It’s a game you see, and the more pellets you catch, the more points you get! So let’s try this again. Here they come! Catch as many as you can!” Scarlet assured her.

Cana once again avoided them. They didn’t like this! They wanted this to stop! A small barrier formed around their soul, acting like another soul, with only one hit point.
( eg blocking Cana from a single hp loss.) -
“What are you? Deaf!?! You’re missing all of them!” Scarlet groaned. “Screw this!” She muttered, the bullets surrounding her with no chance of escape. “Die.” She whispered, grinning as the bullets began closing in. However as they came closer and closer, a vine whipped out from the ground, sending her flying into a rock. Scarlet’s eyes went wide with fear before turning invisible, hiding from the cat that walked over before turning to her humanoid form. “Shame on the honour of anyone that attacks a child.” She muttered as she looked around before turning to the child and smiling softly. “Hello little one... I do hope you are not harmed.” She greeted.

Cana looked up at the other monster in slight fear. They shook gently. Their hands were grasping their burnt frying pan.

“Did I frighten you child? My apologies. I am Corelle.” The woman introduced, bowing to the child. You can follow me to my town if you like, but you don’t have to.” Corelle told her before walking down the forest path.

Cana considered it before they followed after Corelle. She seemed nice. Cana decided to risk it and follow.
