Willow patted Heo's back twice, and stiffly at that. At least the baby tried. "Was it fun? The... game, I mean." He asked.
-
"It's like the Game of Life or Clue. Setting up the game and putting it away was difficult and tedious so the rest of it seemed sort of bland and simple at the end, even if it was entertaining during so." Heo replied, realizing that perhaps Ruby had been simply a friend to him just as much as he had been a friend to her. He was attracted to her, but even if he had won the game he wouldn't have really known what to do in a relationship with her. It would have been awkward and pointless, therefore this wasn't exactly love he felt for Ruby. Simply a misunderstood friendship. He smiled as he realized this and took a deep breath. "Thanks Willow. To be honest, I don't understand all this all the time either. But hey, one dice roll at a time." Heo chuckled as he got up.
-
"Ha. At least it was an interesting experience." Willow said, standing up and stretching. This suit was uncomfortable. "Ready to go back out there? Do you still need a moment?" The albino was glad he had managed to help his friend, despite his lack of understanding of feelings.
-
"What about you Willow? I'm not sure I know a lot about you to think of it. What's your mask? Or crutch, or bottle, or game, or whatever you choose to call it?" Heo asked as he walked with him.
-
Ruby and Sam talked some more about their lives. Wolfe said to Camila "I guess I'm a better matchmaker than I thought. I only invited him to embarrass Ruby."
-
Camila chuckled and shrugged, looking around to see Heo was gone. "Looks like she wasn't the only one embarrassed..." Camila muttered to herself. Suddenly a spiritual hole opened up in the roof, and Camila's mother came through, scanning the room for Malefor. "Well, looks like I gotta get to work... Be back in a sec." she sighed. She ran in front of Malefor and muttered spells under her breath. Magic shot out from her hands and began to form a protective force field.
-
Malefor looked at the shield and asked "What's this for?" He then saw the hole in the ceiling and said "Oh." In fact everyone was watching the spirit hole and worried what it might do.
-
Lillian felt a bit awkrawd as she watched the woman come out of the portal and the portal closed. "Camila..." Camila's mother muttered. Camila nodded. "You betray me?" Her mother asked. Camila stayed silent, her eyes not leaving her mother. "You've become weak. I see it. You're surrendering to your human side. You're even showing a human face." Her mother muttered in disgust. "You cannot speak to me about betrayal, Mother from the other side." Camila told her mother. "Nor can you speak to me about weakness. If you're protected from Malefor's magic, then why do you seek to stop him? Because your magic won't last forever, can't protect you. And you don't want it to be father who had won, because then you would be the weak one." Camila replied. "Enough child. Nevertheless I'm your mother, now step aside." Her mother sighed, tired of her daughter's nonsense. "You see mother, I'm acting on a deal. Therefore at this moment, I'm more powerful than you." Camila informed her, turning the shield into a beam of light that began to shove her back into her realm. "You wretched girl!!!" Her mother yelled before the portal was closed. Camila gasped for breath and felt her shaking legs give in underneath her. It took a lot of energy to do that, and a lot of mental strength to drain out her mother's words.
-
Wolfe ran to Camila's side and helped keep her supported. Malefor was rather shell shocked at what he just saw. He's seen powerful magic before but it was at this point he figured out he underestimated the Other Side.
-
SO IS WILLOW STILL HAVING THAT CONVO OR WHAT bc their mom just shoowping through a portal seems kinda big))
-
(They're outside. They're clueless to what just happened.)
"Are you okay?" Lillian asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Camila blushed and relaxed in Wolfe's support. (Let's take this moment to point out that if anyone else would have tried to help her she would have snapped at them.) -
Great perfect))
“My... mask?” Willow responded, thinking for a moment. “I don’t remember... I guess hiding my snakes?” He seemed to be at a loss for words. -
Heo nodded and shrugged. "Alright. Should we go back out there?" He asked.
-
Malefor said "I think I'm terrified beyond rational thought. I had no idea the Other Side as so powerful."
Wolfe expected Camila to yell at him for helping. When she didn't he assumed maybe she was too tired to do so. -
“She didn’t really do anything though, Camila stopped her before she could.” Lilliana replied. “I could use a calming spell if you’d like.” Lillian offered.
