Nia raised her eyebrow at Alex and shrugged before continuing to eat her fries.

The old man nodded, executing any suspicion. He then walked to the counter, and placed an order

"What was all that about?" Nia asked quietly.

"Don't worry about it"

Nia raised her eyebrow and sighed before returning to her cheese burger. "What would you have done if my dare made me victim to a pedophile? Or to a relationship with anyone for that matter?" She asked, wondering how much their relationship meant to him.

"Then I would do my best to keep you from that reality"

Nia smiled and nodded. "Good answer." She chuckled before finishing the last bite of her cheese burger.

The old man returned with their order, and set it down on the table. He smiled "Have a good day, lovebirds" before walking away

Nia chuckled as she began to eat her ice cream. "Looks like it's obvious we're a couple now." She chuckled.

"Mhm" Alex nodded as he took a sip "That was awfully nice of him"

Nia nodded. "Why did you sound so weird for a second though?" Nia asked.
