Ok.
Nia sighed as she pulled on some jean shorts, a bright red t-shirt, and a dark blue leather jacket. She then pulled her hair into a messy bun and put on red lipstick and gold eyeshadow before leaving her room. "Morning Mom!" She cheered, kissing her mother on the cheek. "Morning Brian." She greeted her step father. "Would it kill you to call me Dad?" He asked. "No but it would be an insult. 'Dad' to me is the guy who brought me life, left my mom cuz he wanted a boy, fought for joint custody because he decided I could be a Tom-boy, and now burns in hell thanks to his besties alcohol and salt." Nia replied in a calm, cheerful voice that made her look like a sociopath. "I like the besties but you added." He chuckled, having heard this speech nearly the same way ten times. "Thanks! I wanted to spice it up for the new school." She chuckled as she made herself breakfast. "I'm sure your teacher will love it." He chuckled. "I'll make sure that the car's tank is full so you can drive her home from detention." He whispered as he passed her mother a spoon, causing her mother to laugh. -
Jesus Christ it's longer than the plot )
Alex closed his locker, and started walking with his best friend, and vice president of the student council, Franco. For once, they were talking at least halfway like normal people. "Hm.. This is quite trouble some" Franco nodded "Can it really be that bad?". Alex shrugged "Well, Father is almost never home. I've only met mother yesterday, and I went to sleep before meeting my step sister." This made Franco shudder "And your Step Mother has asked you to look after your new step sibling?". Alex nodded, looking forward "Yes... We share a room, but I do not mind. I'm already at school before she even wakes. Asleep before she arrives. If this is continued, I should have no problems at all." -
(Lol got into character. XD)
Soon Nia arrived at school and looked around. She wondered who she should try to fit in with. It was a new school, new start. She could fit in with anyone. She could become a nerd, hang out with the jocks, or do what she did at her old school, be part of the not popular but not hated crowd. Should she try to be popular this year? Nah. She could never see herself being like the popular crowd. Then again she wasn't a nerd either, but she could become one. Perhaps she shouldn't look for a title or stereotype, but just look for actual people she could hang out with. Nia nodded at this decision before heading to her locker and getting out her supplies, checking her schedule to see that her home room was room 73. Great. Now... Where's room 73? The last thing Nia wanted to do was wander around like a lost puppy, but she didn't want to ask for directions because that would be awkward. -
Alex saw Nia, and frowned. He opened a red binder, and rifled through some things. Not so soon after, he found what he was looking for. He read it over, then handed it to Franco. Almost as if robots, they said in unison "s---". As soon as they said that, they covered each other's mouths, then gave em a lil smack. As Alex placed the paper back in it's place, he sighed "She's in our homeroom.. I didn't think she was smart enough..."
-
Nia noticed Alex but quickly looked away. No way she was asking him for help... She... kinda... had... feelings for him... and if he were to e v e r find that out it would make things 100% awkward at home. Which is why she memorized his eating, going to bed, and waking up schedule so she would never eat or enter the room at the same time as him. Okay, maybe she was a bit of a nerd, after all she did get into a couple of grade eleven and twelve classes when she was a month and a half away from finishing grade ten. Yes, Nia likes being specific. Nia sighed and looked at the back of the schedule to see the school map. No room numbers, however her homeroom was a calculus class for Period One. So therefore she would be in one of the normal classroom hallways. So she made her way to those ones until she found room seventy three and sat in a seat in the middle. Nia didn't like to be in the front because she'd get too much attention, but it was harder to pay attention in the back. So she would sit closer to the front than to the back, but avoid sitting in the front.
-
Alex and Franco were seated in the front, already at work on the bellwork. They kept pointing at each other's papers, mumbling to one another, etc. At one point, someone asked if they could shut up. Alex stood up and bowed "Of course. I apologise sincerely, fellow classmate, and hope I do not stray your focus any further." He then sat back down, and continued his work quietly and peacefully.
-
Nia couldn't help but chuckle and enjoy Alex's sarcasm. She continued her work, which was a review book, and soon she was finished, so she quietly raised her hand to let the teacher know she was done.
-
Franco was watching Nia, guessing what was going on in her head, laughing. He wrote on a piece of paper "What's wrong with your sister? She was laughing at your apology!"
-
The teacher came to collect her review and told her she could have quiet free time for the rest of the class since the teacher hadn't planned much for that day other than the test review she just finished. Nia spent that free time listening to music in her phone with headphones while writing notes for the math test.
-
Franco looked back, and shook his head. He wrote "Use of technology is prohibited. I can hear the music from here, and it is distracting." Alex nodded, then wrote "We should do something. We are, after all, the head of student council."
-
(Sorry didn't know it was against the rules. At my school if you use head phones you're allowed to listen to music during free time in class. And in my school Student council doesn't have any power over school rules.)
(Plus, how can they hear it? She's using headphones.) -
(Same in my school, but this school is very strict. And student council has power over many things, especially since Alex is grandchild to the owner of the school)
(It is very quiet in the classroom) -
(Lol greeeeeeeaaaaaaat. I guess we'll say she didn't know the rule either.)
Once she was done her notes she took out a fresh piece of paper and began to doodle until the bell rang. She returned her phone to her bag after turning it off and packed up her papers before heading out the door, humming as she walked down the halls. -
After two classes, lunch came. Alex walked swiftly to Nia, a serious expression on his face. He was only a few inches taller, but he made them count. He used his glare to intimidate her, as he always had. It never failed. He held out an open hand to her
-
Nina looked to see Alex glaring at her. She chuckled slightly but did feel a bit nervous. "Alex? To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asked as she traded her binders for her lunch bag and closed her locker. She noticed the opened hand and looked at him in confusion. "What do you want? A cookie? A pencil? Some context would be nice." She chuckled in confusion.
