"Well if you aren't going anywhere and I don't go to sleep I guess I'll find out." Nia countered with a grin.

Alex glared at her, then laid in bed. He covered his face with his hands, and groaned

"What are you up to Alex? I highly doubt anyone from that school would put up with top secret midnight meetings." Nia asked. "It's not like I can judge you for any mischief you're up to, considering at our school, I'm probably the Queen of Mischief." She reasoned.

"Why did it have to be her?" Alex mumbled so quietly, even he could barely hear

Nia heard him mutter something and tilted her head before sighing. "Fine, I get it. Sorry for bugging you." She sighed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears.

"It's not like that" Alex said louder "It's something else.."

Nia tilted her head in confusion but decided to drop it. "Okay then... I'll go to sleep then." She replied, turning off her lamp and going to sleep. She couldn't help but be curious of what Alex was going to do, but making him see her as a brat was the last thing she wanted.

Alex laid awake until he thought Mother and Nia were asleep, and then stodo up

Nia tried to stay up, but the odd thing is when you try to sleep you can't, and when you try to stay up, you can't. So she was sound asleep.

Alex snuck over to Nia, and softly nudged her to see if she woke

Nia muttered in her sleep in response to something that happened in her dream as a result of Alex nudging her.

Alex nudged her again, a little harder this time

Nia rolled over in her sleep and muttered again, sounding annoyed.
(Is he trying to wake her up or should she stay asleep?) -
Stay asleep)
Alex seemed confirmed, and placed a hand on her cheek
