There was dead silence in the room as Cleo showed off her invention, a machine that could drain the blood from a corpse, filter it, and inject it into a plain cup cake with cream cheese frosting. "Now, we can get our nutrients from blood, but not have to worry about infections. It taste better too, and won't stain on our clothes. A lot less things to-" Cleo explained, but just before she could finish with "worry about" her father had her up against the wall. "How many times have I told you Clementine!?! Vampires don't make machines. That's a human trade, and humans were the ones who put us here! I'm sick and tired of you trying to be one!" He yelled, tossing her to the corner of the room. "Father please!!! Hear me out! Just this time, for once! I'm not trying to-" Cleo begged, but her father used his mind control to force her to stay frozen. Only screams of pleading and pain escaped her mouth as her father began to destroy the machine, yelling about his hatred for humans. Soon the machine was nothing but a pile of unusable metal and his hold on her wore off. "I hate you!!!" She yelled, turning into a raven and flying out. She was going to use that machine to make it so they would all seem less threatening to the humans when she helped her family to escape. She had a plan to escape, but now she knew better than to bring them. The sun, even at set, was burning into her. Eventually the pain was too much, and as she activated her Sheild to get through the forcefield, she passed out.
Cleo woke up, groaning in pain as she held her head. The last thing she remembered was flying out of the house at sunset. Then she remembered her father and what he did. Cleo sighed and began packing up the machines that were scattered when she fell. She heard voices once she was done, and followed them to see a younger girl and older boy talking. "Did you escape too?" She asked them. -
After finally finding a section of the wall she could phase through, Emily looked in amazement to see a beautiful land scape in front of her. She rubbed her tired eyes before looking again and blinking them into focus. A butterfly then landed on her nose, causing her to yelp and back against the wall. The butterfly flew away, and she decided to follow it. Eventually she heard voices, and she saw a tiny girl with red hair talking to a troll. She shyly hid behind a tree as she watched them talk.

"Alright." Erik said and leaned against a tree while he waited for the owl to return.
Akona skipped after Org, "I could do a spell to find the nearest village." she told him, completely forgetting about his hatred of magic.
Checa was about to change back into her true form and fly above the trees when she heard a voice. She turned around and saw a girl, and she nodded in answer to her question. -
The owl swooped down and landed on Herangar's shoulder. "This way." he said, pointing in the direction the owl came from. He stood up and started walking. "They seem weak" he said as he put the owl ring back on "I didn't see any walls or guards or anything ."
"NO MAGIC!" Org bellowed. He uprooted a small tree and threw it with rage. Then he turned and said "No magic" more quietly before continuing to walk.
"Yes." said Vladimir, his hands on his swords. "And who may you be? -
Emily shook in fright as the tree she hid behind was tossed away like nothing. She quickly hid behind another tree as she watched the two, wondering if it was safe.
Cleo raised her hands in surrender, causing the bruise on her shoulder from her father's anger to hurt. Not wanting to risk being seen as a threat, she ignored the pain. "I mean no harm, I escaped too." Cleo replied. "Outside the wall we don't have to be enemies. There's a whole new level of unknown challenge now." She reasoned. -
Erik followed Herangar, "Weird." he said.
Akona yelped at Org's outburst, "Alright, alright, no magic." as she followed him she tried to think of a different way to find the town. She noticed a very long tree branch on the ground and came up with an idea, "Wait." she told Org, "I have an idea. I could climb up this branch and you could hold it up, then I'll be able to see above the trees."
Checa tilted, "I guess that makes sense." she said quietly, "But you haven't answered the question, who are you?" -
"Says the guy who can turn into a boat." Herangar replies.
Org lumbered over to the branch, let Akona get on, and lifted it up as high as he could. "can you see anything?' he asked.
Vladimir remained silent. His hands were still on his swords. -
Cleo sighed and nodded. "Clementine Dracula, Dracula's daughter. I prefer to be called Cleo." She replied.
Emily watched the two curiously, and began to fly up the tree for a better hiding place. -
Erik glared at him, "It's not that weird, all of my kind can do it. And there are much weirder things out there."
Akona looked around from on top of the branch until she spotted a town in the not too far distance, "Yup! Now let me down and let's go!"
Checa considered whether or not to respond, hesitating for a moment before nodding and saying, "I'm Checa." -
"Nøkken are strange." says Herangar. "But yes, there are stranger things.
Org brought the stick down and started moving in the direction Akona pointed out.
"My name is Vladimir Krundrok." says Vladimir."You can call me Vlad if you like." He turns to Checa. "It seems you are the peasant of the group." he said. -
(How should they find Emily?)
Cleo chuckled at his words and shook her head. "Outside the wall, we're probably all peasants." She sighed. -
"Yeah, I'm far from the strangest." Erik said.
As Org brought the stick down Akona spotted something in a tree, once she was back on the ground she told Org to wait as she walked over to the tree. She couldn't see anything from her position so she called over to the troll, "Hey, come over here, I think I saw something."
Checa didn't have anything to say so she just shrugged. -
Herangar continued to walk in silence.
Org looked around until he saw a slight movement. "There!" he said, pointing.
"Someone fly and look for a town." Vladimir said."My flying form is weak and i would rather not use it in an unfamiliar land." -
Emily froze when she heard they spotted her and looked down from the tree. "Uh... Hello." She greeted before coming down nervously. She knew that if they were to attack her, she could pinch them and they would die... but... she didn't want to that. "I'm Emily." She told them shyly once her feet touched the ground.
"Alright." Cleo cheered before turning to a raven and flying through the night sky. She flew until she saw a village, then flew back, memorizing the way. "I found one! Follow me." She cheered, leading the way down the forest path.
