Professor Oak said "I'm afraid we'll have to take the car. It's a little faster and we wouldn't want you and your ride Pokemon getting lost in Kanto." Brad said "You can sit next to me if it makes you feel better."

Drake has to force himself to not groan- Wasn't he done with being in vehicles after the plane? "We can't walk?" He hates cars and planes, he has decided.

“ y-yes! Lake agree with drake! Cars, bad!” He said. Lake didn’t like the loud roaring engines of any vehicle, Cosmog Bopped lake on the head...it was tired then. Lake sighed. “ Lake go in car.”
( interestingly enough the only ‘car’ ( not including a possible pickup truck at some point. Or the bus.) we see in Alola belongs to the players family, and would be from Kanto. ( it’s not the reason lake is afraid of cars since obviously cars are a thing in Alola.) -
Professor Oak said "Wonderful." and got into the car. Brad waited patiently.

Lake gets into the car holding their Pokémon. They don’t look to pleased about it..
Night -
"Fine," Drake almost bites out at Oak, and climbs in the car, sitting next to Lake.

The profess or drove them all the way to Pallet Town and brought them to his laboratory. Before they went in, Brad saw someone with a red vest and cap exiting a nearby house. The stranger left on a Charizard too quickly before Brad could see his face or even say hello.
(Before anyone asks, yes that's Red. And yes we'll be seeing him later.) -
She meteky shrugs carrying her Skitty around

Drake all too quickly leaves the vehicle, and pushes his way into the lab. If it's locked, he'll just curse under his breath and cross his arms. A guy with a charizard? He isn't important in Drake's eyes.

The professor took the trainers to a desk with four Pokeballs on it and Kanto Pokedexs. He grabbed the dexs and said "You probably recognize these as Pokedexs. I am giving each of you one to better understand some of the Pokémon here in Kanto. I am fully aware you may have already been given your region's Pokedex but trust me, this will help a lot."

Rotom made an annoyed Zzt sound. Lake rubbed its head. “ it’s ok Rotom, the new pokedex wont replace you in lakes eyes, lake know you’re the best.” He said smiling.
He tilted his head.
“ what are the strange balls doing on table?” Lake asked confused as he poked one...and then immediately hid behind Brad, as he released charmander. He hadn’t expected that to happen. -
She looks at it "aaawww its so cuuuute"

Drake jumps when charmander is released, for he was kinda zoned out. He squints his eyes at the fire type... hm. His Delta could easily take out this pokemon.
