Tina sighed and walked out with him. "This time walk in front of me so that you don't run off again." Tina told him. Just need to get him to the principal's office. No big deal. She thought to herself.

"I think not. " Johnnie smiled. He leaned against Tina, an arm wrapped around her "I wanna be next to you" He walked next to Tina, eventually breaking the silence "So.. Why do you care so much? Do you just want to spend time with me?

Tina blushed wildly at Johnnie's sudden behaviour. "Uh... I..." She stuttered, taking a deep breath. "I just need to get this job done so I can be promoted to head monitor. That's all. You're just another job. Nothing special." She told him, forcing her voice to an assertive tone. It was difficult with the warm, excited feeling he put in her chest as he pressed his side against hers and wrapped his arm around her.

Johnnie stopped, and put a hand to his chest "Ouch." he continued walking next to her, and took a moment to observe her. She had brown hair up in a ponytail. She had round glasses and a red face. She was kinda cute.. He wanted to kiss her.. But he couldn't. Oh well. He had to escape detention, not get into a relationship.

"Why would you care what I think? You're the popular kid and I'm just a nerd." Tina replied. She noticed him studying her and took a deep breath to keep herself calm. "So how'd you get into detention? Snuck into the Girl's bathroom? Put a woopie cushion on the teacher's chair? Get into a fight? Or the classic arguing with the teacher?" Tina asked, enjoying the chance for a genuine conversation with him. -

"Well, I'm not a bad kid. Quite the opposite. I just have a lot of enemies that frame me" Johnnie shrugged "You do like and seem like a nerd. A cute one, though" -
Tina blushed at his comment and frowned at herself. "Please stop. Flattery and excuses won't make me let my gaurd down." Tina told him between deep breaths. She stepped away from him but made sure she was close enough to make him keep moving. "Nice try though." She added, shoving down her excitement. Now was certainly not the time.

Johnnie shook his head "I could run if I wanted. I'm merely telling the truth " And he was. He really thought she was cute. He also thought what would happen to his reputation if word got out.

It took all of Tina's strength to keep walking and not freeze. She had a deep urge to say something like 'Prove it.' Or 'Really?' Or something like that. However right now, this job came first. Of course, just because her brain said one thing, doesn't mean the rest of her listened. "Sure you are. How do I know you aren't just trying to make a fool of me?" Tina blurted, rolling her eyes and tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ears. You had one job. Her brain told her. Calm down. Nothing is going to happen. another part assured the rest of her brain.

Tina listened to the silence and suddenly became worried about how he was going to respond. I knew it... He was trying to make a fool of me... Well... Good thing I didn't let him. She thought, holding back the sudden urge to cry. She was able to stop any tears from breaking out and calmed down, when suddenly he stopped. Tina prepared for him to make another run for it and stopped walking. Suddenly he turned around and came over to her. Tina's chest and cheeks blushed wildly. Her eyes opened wide as he leaned into her. Then they closed and her lips parted as he kissed her. She couldn't help but kiss back. Now, as her brain cleared from all its buzzing, her brain was only thinking one clear thought. s---. Tina quickly pulled away and wondered what the hell she was going to do now.

"Manager hall minuter? Pretty big promotion.. I'll help you... If you help me.. " Johnnie sniled "I'm trying to get out of detention... But I know how to help you with your promotion"

Tina blushed. She lifted up her finger and pointed it at him, trying to look assertive while she tried desperately to think of something to say. Her brain wasn't coming up with anything so she looked like a stumbling fool. She heard what he said and frowned. "Why are you so desperate to get out of detention?" She asked, finally finding something to say.

Johnnie let out a sigh, and his face turned serious "Well.. If you must know.. My mother died last week. The last words I've ever heard from her were 'My baby boy.. Another great report card.. You make me so proud.. For me, don't get in trouble, okay?' and so I avoid trouble at most costs. "

Tina gulped, her finger falling to her side. She had no idea if she could trust him or not. However if he was telling the truth... "I'm sorry... I didn't know..." Tina sighed. "Then... How did you get the detention if you avoid trouble? If it was a rumour, what kind of rumour would a teacher fall for?" Tina asked, feeling confused.
