"Deep breath. Deep breath." Tina told herself, tying her hair into her famous ponytail as she paced in front of the school. "Today is a big day! Get it right, and you'll become head of the Hall Monitors!" She told herself, placing a hand to open the school doors. She wanted to try to avoid the group of trouble makers. However they were hanging out in the entrance hall. Hopefully... They don't notice me. Tina thought, walking quietly past the group. She was afraid if any of them were bored and noticed her, they would make a scene and put her on a bad path for the day. She needed to get this promotion. It would get her into an IVY League school when she graduates. That may get her parents off her back. -
Johnnie was leaning against his locker, eyes closed. He had a pending suspension and had to meet with the principal and his dad. One more suspension would lead to expulsion. He really didn't want to move schools again. So much he had accomplished here. He was a sport star, he did amazing grade-wise, hell, he even had his eyes on a girl. Some would say his life was perfect. But he knew it was far from it. He leaned back and let Get Scared flood his mind. He listened to the lyrics and felt their pain.

Tina tried hard to walk down the hall without changing her glance. However, her eyes shifted slightly to Johnnie. She caught herself and kept going, finally reaching her locker. Keep it together! She thought to herself, getting her hall monitor clothes out of her locker. She remembered glancing at Johnnie. He looked almost... Sad? Afraid? Maybe both? Perhaps she just imagined it. She locked up her locker and headed for the Staff Room.

He took a moment to recall all he was known for. He looked amazing, never had acne. He wasn't strong but knew secrets to beating anybody in almost anything. He knew a few languages, and he even made a pair of headphones better than Beats. Johnnie looked up, and stared at that girl. Why was she going to the staff room? Oh well. It didn't involve him so he shouldn't worry about it.

"You know Tina, Rumour has it that you're getting upgraded today!" The secretary cheered. Tina held back a proud smile. "Don't spread rumours Miss." I reminded her. She smiled warmly and gave me my sheet to register. Most kids waited until after home room to start. I liked getting started bright and early. So I would meet Mrs. McPeters, the secretary, at breakfast every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. At Tuesday and Monday I met her at lunch. I got dressed in a stall before leaving the staff room with my clip board. The principal saw me and walked over to me.

Adrien took off his headphones as he walked to homeroom. He wasn't bad or disrespectful, he just had a lot of rumors that made his life harder than it was. He tried not to let turn bother him much, but they were good at what they did. They found his secrets, his fears, anything they could use against him. And they did. The only secret he had left was that his father beat him. The enemies had gotten everything but that. They knew he had a final secret, and they banned together to find it. He worked hard to hide it. He loved his dad, no matter what happened. After his mom died, he worked hard to improve himself and his dad blamed him.

Tina stiffened as the principal came. Was she in trouble? What would her parents say? What did she do!?! Questions like this spun around in her head until the principal spoke. "Tina, there is one more assignment for you before you get upgraded. I need you to escort someone to detention later today." The principal told her. "Alright! Who is it?" Tina asked. "Johnnie Guilburt." He told her. "Please bring him to my office sometime during lunch." He concluded. "Of course! How can I say no?" She asked with a smile. On the inside she was screaming in worry and panic. However she didn't let that show too much, besides going slightly paler and getting a catch in her throat. "Excellent!" The principal cheered before walking away.
