Connor stared at his feet before getting up. He then promptly sprinted into his and Travis room to hide from Kate
-
"Connor, wait!" Kate called, following Connor to his room. "It's not your fault. You have to know that. Please know it's not your fault!" Kate told him.
-
Connor locked the door on her. Travis was in the main bathroom.
-
"Connor it isn't your fault! This isn't anyone's fault! Please talk to me." Kate told Connor, feeling an empty feeling of guilt. "The last thing Barry wanted was for you to think this was your fault." She added, wondering if that would help.
-
"It is? I'm the reason everyone's upset!" He shouted . He grabbed a hoodie, and a bag. Connor decided he had to leave. If not qel- he would cause to much trouble.
-
Barry heard the argument from down stairs. He sighed, knowing that he messed up anyways. He walked upstairs and walked by Kate. She tried to grab him, but he shook her off and entered his room. He grabbed a suitcase and began to pack. Kate sighed and followed Barry into his room, glaring at him as he packed. "You're serious, huh?" She asked with a frown. Barry nodded, not speaking to her.
-
A few minutes later, Travis ran into the door of Barry's room and paused , panting hard "C-Connor gone. Windows open. H-he might get even more hurt."
-
Barry looked up, guilt washing over his face. Two completely separate forms of regret started war in his mind, with him caught in the crossfire. One form regretted getting close to these people, being weak and letting himself get attached in the first place. The other regretting lying to Connor and hurting people. Barry sat on his bed, staring into space. "Let's go look for him..." Kate sighed, sending Barry a worried look before leaving the room.
-
"It's cold. Make sure you get a jacket" he jogged and grabbed his and muttered "What've you goteen into Connor"
-
"He thinks we're all mad at him..." Kate sighed, pulling on her jacket as guilt traced her face.
-
"I'm not. Don't know about you guys" he said zipping his jacket and grabbing his phone "Are you gonna sit around or help Barry?"
-
Kate sighed. She wasn't at all mad at Connor. She was mad at Barry, and Barry was mad at himself. None of this was Connor's fault. Something was going to make that fight between Kate and Barry happen at some point. Especially if Connor hadn't dated Barry. Connor had actually been the only reason Barry stayed at the bakery. Kate, until today, thought their friendship and family was the reason.
"I... I don't know if I'm much help right now..." Barry muttered, rubbing his face. "I need to think..." He muttered, feeling awful for being too torn to help. -
Travis didn't know how, but he knew why. He was field with a sudden anger at Barry for how he's treated his brother. "Your a real B@stard , you know that right? Connor could get mugged, raped, I don't even know what else, especially now sense he's still under medication! And you won't help. f---ing great!" He shouted before walking out and promptly slamming the door behind him. Sometimes you had to do s--- yourself
-
Kate was startled and followed Travis nervously.
Barry waited till the door closed to allow the tears to escape. He didn't know how to handle this. He walked out of his room and into Connor's, then climbed out Connor's window. He decided if he went the way Connor went, maybe he would be more likely to find Connor. -
Travis was kicking a rock and when he got enough away from the bakery he called put softly "Connor? Con man? Connor Allen? Uh-Connie? Come on Connor-where are you man?" He said glancing in alleys
Meanwhile Connor went a total different direction. He climbed out his window and headed downtown
